BTW Morenita, the crown of my head does exactly the same thing yours does. I use a denman brush on it and scrunch it to try to make it blend better.

DRY-FRIZZY

TODAY: shampoo-Conditioned and then applied KK curling custard, combed through and let airdy

90% dry

MISC:


1. Sometimes if my hair is overly conditioned it looks like this and this lets me know Its definitely time for a 2-step hardcore protein treatment

2. Most normal days while im in the shower I detangle, as soon as I step put I will apply kinky curly knot today leave-in without manipulating my hair and it will look like this

Thanks hon. I moved my pics. I got kind of used to hanging on the 3c boards at another site and it seemed like the 3b boards were not as many women of color. I tended to look at product usage and I like butters and oils which I could talk about more on the boards with women of color.

Thanks for the compliment but I really wish I had your growth gene. I've been stuck at the same spot for soooo long. waiting for that spurt! LOL

Hair is about 75% dry in this pic. The area not dry is the middle/back. The face I was making was not cute so I had to delete it.

Thanks! I believe I used Curls Rock Amplifier in most of these. I probably used coconut or EVOO too. In the last pic, I think i used a gel... probably Eco clear with EVOO. I think it makes my hair look a little jerry curlish. oh well.

I wish I could make my hair feel softer. It feels rough to me. If anyone has ideas how to make hair softer, please share.

Are these with or without a relaxer? This is almost exactly what I have, but my curls are nowhere near as uniform or defined- I think my relaxer is the culprit.

My hair looks just like yours Rockstar, and I'm a 3c. Except, I'm still transitioning so I have about three inches of relaxed ends which is why my ends are so straight in the pictures. I'm not sure if I want to do a big chop at my two year curly hair anniversary or try texlaxing my hair.

All the pictures are of my hair after the big chop. I haven't relaxed my hair since 2006. When I was transitioning my hair looked nothing like this. The relaxed ends made my hair look crazy LOL

This is a picture of a transitioning picture from the summer of 2007. As you can see my relaxed ends were bone straight.

I think I am a 3c. I only have new growth pics. I am transitioning and have way more relaxed than natural hair.

Your new growth is beautiful! You will have a better idea what the curl type is once the relaxed ends are gone.

@NikkiG It's difficult to tell with such a small amount of new growth and especially since it's pulled back, which stretches the curl even further. My guess is 3b or 3c. Like Maria said, you'll know for sure once you chop
