May 23 24 25 26 27 What Are Your Weekend Hair Plans?

Started off with a co-wash. Used Deva Curl One Condition and SM 10-n-1 Conditioner.

Slept in a high bun, moisturized by spritzing using my spray bottle mixture (distilled water, BTMS 50). Applied MuruMuru Butter.

Tomorrow and Saturday I have a bunch of errands to run, so I’ll probably not even touch my hair or have to.

Sunday I’m planning on doing a greenhouse steam/pre-poo. Put some Shea Butter all over, plastic cap, warm towel. Do a full wash, after. Aunt Jackie’s shampoo (yellow bottle), hard protein treatment. 1 egg, ORS orange packet, and unsalted butter from the ears down. Condition, rinse, and probably bun, or put in two English braids.

BUT!

I also have been contemplating doing a crochet style of sorts. Since I can’t cornrow, I’m thinking about flat twisting in whatever what I want the hair to lay, securing at the base with small rubber bands, and then braiding the ends. I’ll just pin down all my length with Bobby pins, and I was wanting use this type of hair

But I would probably need two days or so to completely finish this style. It’s also my first time every doing a crochet set by myself. So kind of wanting to, kind of not wanting to.

The Standard US Work Week is five days/40 hours a week, Monday - Friday 8:00 - 5:00. :boredwrk:

But of course, people can work different days of the Week at all different times of the week depending on their jobs.

I added Thursdays and Mondays to the challenge because a lot of Ladies, were posting they were doing their Hair on Thursdays and some others on Mondays so that why I added additional days to the weekend.:up:
 
Tomorrow:
Pre-poo: Annabelle's Pre-poo treatment under heat for 15 mins
Poo: The Mane Choice Cool Laid Poo 2 x
DC: Annabelle's Garlic DC under steam for 30 mins
Leave-ins: Annabelles'/Oil/Naturelle Grow
Air Dry Cream: Purology
Moisturize: Qhemet Biologics
Seal: Oil
Style: Braid-out
 
Friday/Saturday:
Finger Detangle: Garnier Honey Whole Blends Co
Shampoo: SM Raw Shea Butter SH
DC w/Hot Head (20 min): Mielle Organics Mongongo DC + Canola Oil
Moisturize & Stretch (8 Braids):
(L) SM Raw Shea Butter Co
(C) Lottabody Style Milk/Cantu Curl Cream (whatever I pick up first)
(B) Homemade Whipped Shea Butter

Saturday/Sunday +: Install Marley Twists (hopefully they last for 8 weeks)

Going to try to wash/treat the hair before using it
 
Friday
  • Scalp treatment with Nizoral shampoo for 10 minutes
  • Condition and detangle with Camille Rose Moroccan Pear Conditioning Custard
  • Moisturize with Camille Rose Fresh Curls and braid hair to air dry
Rest of Weekend
May play around with my hair and try different low manipulation protective-styles. Its too hot for wigs and I have started to workout so I have to wash and style my hair more often.
 
So I ended up putting my hair in twists today after it air dried stretched out in braids. It doesn't look all that great down. I think if my hair was longer or the twists were smaller.... Buuuutttt it does look nice in a bun. I think I might like this. I think I can do a few hairstyles with the way my hair is now. :)
 
  • Misted hair with water & greg juice mix and finger detangled
  • Trimmed ends. Now the longest layer is between BSL and MBL
  • Shampoo, olaplex no. 2, DC, tea rinse
  • Apply leave in and stretch twists on rollers
  • Apply moisturizer and retwist stretched hair, putting shea butter on ends.
  • Put twists in a bun for the week.
 
DCing right now with Shea Moistures Jamaican Black Castor Oil Mask. Cause if it doesn't get done right now it wont get done at any point during this uber busy weekend! I havent DCd properly in like 3 weeks and my hair is super duper dry.
Leave in: MIELLE Honey Pomegranate
Styler: Eco Olive
Alternate dryer, air dry & blow dry.
I might be back in here on Monday doing something else...I'm feeling a little guilty about the past couple of weeks. Have a fantastic weekend.
 
Friday:
Shampoo 3x with Eesign Essentials moisturizing hair bath with added tea tree oil (my scalp had this weird filmy gunk)
Deep conditioner: APB honey and molasses deep treatment (no added heat)
Final rinse: Silkience salon series pro formula damage repair conditioner (from the dollar tree) Left some in my hair as a leave in and braided my hair to air dry overnight.
Saturday: Re-moisten my hair with water and applied both QB AOHC and BRBC then sealed with nature's blessings hair grease (all natural) and proceeded to braid my hair for crochet faux goddess locs (individuals in the front and cornrows the rest).
Sunday: Took out the cornrows crochet faux locs as it was entirely too heavy for my head and proceeded to do individuals all over my head. So much lighter and less stress on my scalp.
 
Surprise wash day because I went to work with gunky hair and couldn't stand it.

Rinse: with water to get as much of the gel out of my hair
Rx: shikakai (3tbsp), hibiscus (1.5tbsp), kaolin (2tbsp), acv, warm water, peppermint eo
Leave-ins: FRW spray (left it overnight and added neutral protein filler and peaches and cream fragrance), Cream of nature honey detangler, IC fantasia hair polisher (for heat protection)
Stretch: revlon one-step on cool then back into a bun

@IDareT'sHair I was able to get my life together on Sunday, had a mishap with a product combo, then had to get my life together again today.

Sunday:
Pre-poo: Ayurvedic powders mixed in Sirod Naturals DC and my last bit of Olaplex
Shampoo: Sirod Naturals Creamy Soapnut Herbal Shampoo (rushed the process, shouldn't have done that)
DC: SSI Marumallow Melt (wasn't necessary, but I wanted to do it anyway)
Style: The mishap happened when I layered my hair w/ APB Cherry Bling Conditioner and my flaxseed gel. The combination created a hard cast with white balls. I rinsed my hair and blotted with a t-shirt to get most of the mess out. I was on my way to a cookout and did not have time to rewash my hair.

Monday:
I rinsed my hair with warm water to separate tangles
Shampoo: APB Blue Agave Co-wash
DC: SSI Marumallow Melt layered with Shea nut oil
Style: My hair is in a flat two-strand twist and bun. This week is supposed to be humid, so I'm not going to leave my curls out. I layered my hair with Sirod Naturals Leave-in (Liquid) Bobeam Conditioner (definitely a better leave-in)(Light cream), SN Ayurvedic oil, and my Shea Butter concoction (heavy cream). My hair is moisturized and behaving well. We'll see how this style makes it through my workouts. I do not want to manipulate my hair multiple times this week.

Deva No Poo Decadence and One Condition Decadence
WNG with my discontinued Kenra curl styling conditioner :cry3:, TJ organic argan oil and Eco Style black castor and flaxseed oil gel (typically not a fan of this but I needed some protein)
