The BUY NOTHING for June 2008 Challenge

Okay I had a tiny close one....over in the nail polish thread, OP posted that Ulta is having all kinds of BOGO sales this weekend of course all my fav nail polishes calling my name... I just got a haul from Head2Toe, and I know better. So I had to remind myself that I am on a *no buy* right now, so I could just stop planning my little trip over to Ulta right now!

ETA: Plus I need to save gas

Oh snaps, I wanted to get some of those...would it count...I would get them at Home Depot.... Would that count I thought I had everything covered!!!

I've got 100 - I could send you 15 or 20 to tide you over......... cuz yeah, getting them from home depot would count and.... they don't have the right kind - the pH the pool strips test for is too low. At least the ones my Home Despot sells for the pool stuff - cuz, yes, you KNOW a sista checked - it was late May, and I was twitchy.

Would I be considered cheating if all the products I plan to buy in July, I buy now but don't use them till July? lol...i ask this because I wanted to have these products shipped and available for when I go back home in July, so I can have them and bring them back with me when I return to Boston after the July 4th, weekend.

Well I've been trying the no brush thingy and ita a BIG NO....I'm transitioning and I am tired of looking busted so I invested in some scurl to try and tame my new growth, some gel, a detangling brush, and a boar bristle brush. I closed the bathroom, cut on my Erykah Badu and went to work. I am proud to say that when I came out of that bathroom my bun was shining, glistening, and most of all UNDER CONTROL. Life is Good . But for real i'm through buying products after this.

i'm running extremely low on lustrasilk...luckily i have a half a bottle of kenra mc and one i was hoarding from my mom and sister.

but she's not in this challenge...she can buy some more DC

Okay, well Passionfruit didn't fail BUT I DID! I knew I would. I can say that I bought things that I needed ( and for honesty's sake, a few I probably didn't NEED) and I won't make anymore purchases this month. I joined on May 30th but didn't prepare by shopping before the 2nd.

Okay, having done the steam treatment twice now, I'm DEFINITELY going to need some of those turbie towel things - I was trying to be cheap, and use towels I already had at home - but that's not working out too well.

So - that's the first thing on the GapList - two turbie towels.

Anyone else started their list yet?

JBCO when this regular wal-mart castor oil runs out, and coconut oil.

oh, and hair for my new set of kinky twists - i need to braid/twist this stuff up so i don't BC and so i can recover from this tiny bit of breakage that is plaguing me. hope i can find a style to tide me over till then!

Amazingly, neither have I. I will need to order some shikakai, amla, hibiscus petal, and bhringraj powders so I hope we get another day's pass to order some stuff. I'll be checking my oils too and see if I need any of those.

That's my 6 ft long kitchen island covered with hair stuff. I don't think I had gotten my 2000g of indian herbs at that time, and I know I didn't have the heat bonnet, or the extra Creme Rinses.....

So yeah. I don't need NOTHING.
