Lookit, I made a Puff!

I got rid of all my bone straight ends and tried to make a puff with some stockings this morning so I can wear to school. :drunk: Im kind of nervous because nobody has ever seen me in anything but straight hair or a an airdried bun. Even very few people have seen me with a roller set. So this should be a shock for some people. I just can't keep straightening my hair because it is SO humid in Texas so this is hopefully my new look.

And yes, that is my summer "tan" and my brand new glasses.

I slept on this last night after putting Fantasia IC gel on it and brushing it out with the Denman. This morning I woke up and tugged at it to make it even again, wet it a little and shook it out. Then I put some Lets Jam on my edges, so chances are they'll revert and expand, they aren't nearly as straight and shiny as they look in this pictures. And I had to braid the top front of my hair to make it curl and match the rest because it is straight (probably from heat damage ). But everything to the left and right and in the back is texturized. I have 2 inches of natural roots under all that too. When I flatiron it its still the same length in the back, its just that the top is shorter now that I did the mini chop.

That looks fantastic ... nice curls! :yep:

I'll be happy when I can finally do a puff (after I chop).

Thanks everybody! I can't wait to go to class. I hop it still looks good. I haven't been outside like this and I'm wondering if the humidity will make it explode :lachen:.

I wear my hair like that everyday so don't be worried. It looks like a roller set. Very pretty.

That's what I was thinking! Except my roller sets usually come out horrible on most parts of my hair --- But I am going to roller set the parts that don't blend in if I can find some smaller rollers. They don't really fit in that well since I twisted them. I would rather just blend them in than cut them off

That is very cute!

Your summer complexion and glasses (I need some new ones for when not wearing contacts) are also pretty....Love the eyebrows.

WOW look at all those curls!!! Beautiful. :rosebud:

ETA: A hater gave 1 star for this thread??!! Grow up!! I gave 5 stars.. take that hater :hammer:

Very pretty! When I wear my hair in its natural state, I load up on my Aveda leave-in conditioner. It keeps my hair from"exploding" and drying out.

I guess this was a controversial thread that warranted a One Star:lachen:

And I was beginning to think the Hairboard wasn't foolish enough these days. I'm glad somebody came to prove me wrong!

Oh Ive never used it before, and I'm texturized for the most part. Where exactly do you get Aveda?

Thanks everybody for the compliments, I got a lot of good looks today at school and it didn't explode like I thought it would. The Lets Jam gel actually held up too! :dance7:

As for the hater... screw her. I bet she's a bald headed ********* with no edges and ringworms on her scalp anyway.

I get mine from the Aveda salon near my home. You can go on their website and do a locator search. Aveda works very well on texturized hair. Because its creamy but not heavy or greasy.
I'm currently using Aveda Elixir leave-on conditioner. It's been discontinued; but it's been replaced by the Aveda Smooth Infusion Style-Prep Smoother. I've compared the two products ingredients list and its the same product pretty much.
