how often do you wash your scarf?

i washed my scarf this morning with some shampoo, and let's just say i don't even remember the last time i washed it and it was gross erplexed

in addition to having 'stuff' marinate on my scarf and get on my hair, i'm going to have to do a better job of washing it more frequently so that same 'stuff' doesn't trickle down to my face

Not enough!, lol I was just thinking yesterday that I need to wash them. When I do mine is gross too.....cloudy water, yuck. I use shampoo.

You're right....it's not good for our faces. I gotta get better with this. It's a wonder my forehead hasn't broken out.

THis is why I have bought about 9 silk/satin scarves. I wash and alternate them weekly.

I wash them once a week in the wash machine and hang up to air dry.

I have a few scarfs in rotation. I go by feel and/or smell to determine when I need to use another scarf. Whenever I do laundry a couple scarfs usually go in my wash...

I'm probably a once a monther On a good month, probably twice a month. I do have two scarves though, but for some reason I'm not as diligent with washing them as I am with my clothes (or hair for that matter)
One thing I will say though is that my scarf stays on better when it's not as clean

I have about 7 silk scarfs/doorags - I had a lot more when cotton bandannas were considered safe for my head... Anyways, I rotate at least once a week, washing the dirty/oil soaked ones when I've rotated to a nice clean one.

ETA: I just chuck mine in the washing machine with my regular clothes.

when a pimple pops up on my forehead, I usually wash. My scarf is usually the cause of my pimples.

i wash my combs after every use.
I dont wash my hair bands enough though...

I wash it weekly the day i wash my hair. Clean hair clean scarf.

I have two, and I wash them twice a month which works out to wearing a clean one each week. I also wash them by hand with shampoo.

I am with you on this one, My husband buys them; at this moment I have 10 silk scarves in rotation; he gets 5 at a time, and just bought another pack last week, I haven't gotten that into rotation yet. He likes my head covers to be stylish, he is funny! But I do appreciate them!

I wash them weekly, with my regular laundry! Nothing special Tide cool water, or gain.

I have 2 scarves.I wash them every week along with my combs and brushes on the day that I wash my hair. I hate the thought of putting on a dirty scarf and combing my hair with dirty combs after I just washed my hair.

I rinse my scarf every morning. It's dry by the evening. Since I've adopted this practice I get no more breakouts around my hairline.

I have at least five scarfs and only keep a scarf for three days. With all of the products I use and all of the dirt that can accumulate I make sure to have a clean scarf.

Wash in washing machine. Guess I should consider doing shampoo but I would probably use a clarifying one to get all the gunk out. That's why I prefer the washing machine.

I alternate my scarf on a weekly basis. It also seems to lessen my facial breakouts when I change it weekly.

everyday with the shampoo from my pj stash that I'm trying to get rid of! otherwise it just smells horrible!
