What are you planning to do with your hair for the summer? Co-washing and bunning.

What's your goal by the end of summer? Maintaining my new growth while growing out my relaxed hair - dealing with the two textures. Hoping for no setbacks. Inching closing to my BC.

Transitioning, 7 months in.

What are you planning to do with your hair for the summer?
Cowashes, DCs once a week, Twistouts, Lots of buns w/ hair accessories (have a huge stash)

What's your goal by the end of summer?
I want to work on my retention. Won't be dusting or trimming... just search and destroy.
If I can get to BSL by Sept 09, I'll be happy.

I'll be looking forward to your BC (Whimsy). I can't say it enough... You are one of my transitioning idols!!!

I'm stretching for 6 months and then maybe transitioning

What are you planning to do with your hair for the summer?
I'm planning on cowashing and DCing at least every 1-2 weeks. And wearing half and full wigs.

What's your goal by the end of summer?
I hope to have at least 2 more inches of growth or more:crossfingers::happydance:

I'm natural. I'm planning to do protective styles for the summer: braid, African threading and perhaps even a weave. My goal is to get closer and closer to APL by april 2010:yay:

Transitioning ( I have to keep reminding myself b/c alot of my hair looks natural!)

Hopefully I will wear my current braids until the middle of June and then depending on the health of my hair, I will start wearing twistouts and wash n gos.
What's your goal by the end of summer?
I'm trying to avoid BC'ing again until I hit my nappiversary on 1/1/10 but if I get pretty good growth from my braids (SL stretched) I will BC. That will be a cut of about an inch or 2 and put me at EL-NL.

Co-washing at least 4 times a week, DC'ing twice a week, ayuveda rinse (weekly to 2 times a week), wet bunning, braid outs (seldomly), bantu knot outs (seldomly), french braids, pretty much protect my ends so I won't need a trim.

Hopefully I will be BSBL or BSL either will be fine with me.

Whimsy - you are doing a FABULOUS job transitioning!!

Answers:

Natural

Twists or braids mostly and the occasional twist-out/braid-out or puff. May blow out, rollerset or flatiron on special occasions. Twists/braids can be washed or rinsed off without the extra manipulation of having to redo the style.

I probably won't get there by the end of this summer but my ultimate goal is full or pretty darn close to it waistlength at the end of the year.

I'm moving to the Jacksonville area, what about you? I live in Cali now so def dry air here. I have been there in the summer the humidity is threw the roof!!
 
1. Natural.

2. Celie braids under a wig. I'm going to try keeping the braids in for 2 weeks at a time. Still rinsing and castor oil everyday.

3. This summer I think I'll focus on growing out my front edges, it's like I have a halo around my hairline in the front. I think they're still short because I wet them and then put a head band on them everyday. I'm going to try braiding them in small cornrows and not wetting them as much.

Yeah, I was gonna do a rollerset next weekend, but I think I will try a braid out. But won't it just get frizzy? I don't do braids and wigs plus it's already gonna be hotter than:heated:...lol!

I plan to start cowashing for first time and mastering my wash and go's (last summer my wash n go's were H.A.M.) I'm thinking about going lighter for the summer but scared of the damage it may cause.

What's your goal by the end of summer?Nothing big just hope for lots of growth.
 
My Summer Plans are to continue to Focus on Health before Length. Continue to incorporate practices that assist in Retention.

Continue on my Challenges: Baggying, No Heat, Take Better Care of Your Hair and Step it Up on the Growth Aids III. Keep a Good Solid Regimen consisting of balancing Moisture & Protein and continue with very low Manipulation.

In times past, I usually experience a really good growth spurt in Spring/Summer so hopefully all the Wonderful things I have learned here will just be the Icing on the Cake.:yep:oops! I guess I really didn't answer the question. Sorry.

Same thing i did in the winter with the exception of when i go to the pool or beach..I will let it airdry after i wash and DC

I hope to have 2 more inches.....I have trimmed 2x since january and am stuck at full BSL...
 
I am relaxed doing the longest stretch of my life so I will continue with the C&G and rock my braids.

Really dont have any goals for the end of the summer just keep it simple and healthy.
