For those using Moroccan oil, I saw argan in the counter display and they only have samples so far up here in my area but it's by One 'n Only.
 
Can you post a picture of what the argan oil looks like? I've heard so much about it, but that's about it.....:look::ohwell:
 
Argan is millennia old and some Euro got the idea to make a killing off of it, much like Oyin. But here's the popular product:

You can buy it at N. African grocers and middle-eastern stores...perhaps some Indian grocers...but it's hard to find sometimes. The following is the oil at Sally's:

ir Shine Serum > One N Only Argan Oil 3.4 oz.

This is probably what the btl. is going to look like...but I got the tiny little sample.
 
I got a sample too. I like it. I've only used it once but so far so good. I've never used the pure stuff or the Moroccan oil so I can't compare but this one seems good. I like the scent too.
 
I'm not sure about the one at Sally's but I recently tried Moroccanoil brand in the turquiose box. I airdried my hair last night after using it and this morning my hair is light, smooth and feels great. I will definitely look for the one at Sallys.
 
I normally buy the original in the blue bottle but a few days ago I bought the one n' only. SAME THING.....texture & smell. I'll be so glad when Sally's start carrying the big bottle. That $40 bucks on the original was wearing thin. I love this stuff, it = nice silky, moisturized hair without the weight everytime.
 
Sally's has the 3.4 oz for sale on their website for 8.99 or 7.99 w/club card. That's about the same price as Wild Growth Oil so I might just switch to this
 
I purchased the small sample at Sally's a couple of days ago. I've been using it daily. I did a co-wash and sprayed in my Infusium and sealed with the Argan Oil. My hair is Soooooooo soft today! And the shine is amazing! You only need a very small amount.

It also makes your hands really soft too!
 
Is this just used to seal in moisture? Or for shine?

On the hair or scalp or both?

I saw the samples @ Sally last time I was there. I may need to try it!

For the one at Sally's the directions tell you to apply to dry or wet hair. It does contain cones so I wouldn't put it on my scalp.
 
I got the oil sample from sallys also and I'm thinking about trading my Chi Silk Infusion for this but I dont know just yet but I will purchase the larger bottle once sallys get it in and after I use that I will know for sure, but I love this oil already

I brought a sample of this One and Only Argan Oil (Serum) from Sally's and have been using it for about a week as a daily moisturizer/oil.

This is good for us ladies who like to moisturize with serum. I just hadn't found the right serum to use. Well this is it.

I really, really like it, it gives a great shine, I like the smell, it helps lubricate and detangle my hair. It gives my hair a little "weight" but doesen't weight it down...it still moves, but my hair feels protected and covered. I like my hair to be a little heavier in the colder months for extra protection

I really like this product and I'm going to get the big one TO-Day!

It's nice to know that it's comparable to the original Moroccan oil. Now the PJ in me can die down. Even a PJ likes to get the same or better products for less....that leaves more $$ to buy more!
 
I have about 4 samples of this(came with my recent sally's orders). I like it on my damp hair...about 2 drops before bdry/flat iron. Or I'll mix into a mediocre conditioner to make it more moisturizing for DC. And you can use it as a hot oil treatment. But since it's thick, I prefer it as a serum on my damp hair.

oh and I have Moroccan Oil and the Argan Oil works exactly the same.​
 
They have the 3.4 oz bottle now for about $8. It smells and looks exactly the same as the Moroccan oil treatment, but there is a difference in ingredients.


Sally's One N' Only Argan Oil: Dimethicone, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethiconol, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Fragrance, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Yellow 11, Red 17

Moroccan Oil: Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Cyclomethicone, Butylphenyl Methyl Propional, Argania Spinoza Kernel Oil, Linseed Extract, Fragrance Supplement, D&C Yellow-11, D&C Red-17, Coumarin, Benzyl Benzoate, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone

I'ms till confused as to why this is called Argan Oil and Moroccan oil when the main ingredients are silicones and the oil is towards the end of the list. *shrug*

Come back and let us know how it compares to the CSI. Right now I use the GVP version of Chi Silk and I love it, but I might try the Argan if it works better.

I'm still holding on to my little sample bottle. I love it but when I went to get the full size they were sold out

The first 3 ingredients are cones! We could come out just as well with a serum. Anybody know where to get real Argan oil at a good price?

Camden Grey has very good prices - I got 8 oz for $16.00. I just got it a few days ago, so I can only tentatively say that it can penetrate heat protectant and straightening balm to soften my 33 week post hair:yep:
 
I like it. The smell is nice and it's a little heavier than my Chi Silk Infusion, which I like (my hair needs the weight). I'd be interested to try the real stuff, just to see.

You are so right - :yep:it really does smooth the ends. This has been my it find for 2009. I alternate this with Joico's version of Moroccan oil(K pac w/ protein of course).

I use it as I would a serum. I am okay with serums and cones though.
 
I just bought this today and it does exactly what is claims to do. Earlier today before buying Argan oil, I had already shampooed and dc'd my hair and used CSI to flat iron with. My hair had a lot of body, but I was disappointed with the frizz I still had with this and not as much shine as I am used to with Fantasia IC. I went to Sally's to buy an oil sheen spray or glosser. Everything had mineral oil in it, so I decided on the Argan oil. I smelled it in the store and was like I don't even care if it doesn't work, because the smell was awesome. Anyway, it worked great on my dry hair and smoothed it out without being sticky, oily, or weigh my hair down too much. Great shine, too. This is a keeper. I can't wait to try it on wet hair.

Has anyone tried CSI and Argan oil together? I want to use up this CSI I have, but if Argan oil works better than it for flat ironing, I may just have to sell it. I'm mad cause I just bought a 12 oz bottle of CSI from Ebay.
 
I bought some earlier this weelk from Sally's it works great! I put some on air dried natural 4 a/b hair and braided my it into a bun. I have my hair out today and it feels sooo soft! I always need to remoisture my hair by mid day when out, but no need today....this product is a keeper.

OH! and what is best is that my hair is touchable soft and there is no residue on my hands when I touch it!.... and my hair smells quite sexy!
 
I use the argan and CSI together and I love it because I gotta have my CSI for detangling and the Argan oil for softness and I just love the combo

I have that one it's by One and Only and I think it does a great job. I also just got the 100% Argan oil in the mail from Eden Allure and I actually like using it on my face more than my hair. I haven't noticed a major difference by putting it in my hair. But I hear it's really good for flat ironing so i'm going to try it this weekend and see if I notice a difference. The Argan oil from sally's provides good slip for me and smells amazing.
 
I have used the Argan oil on my dry hair and it was very nice. I think in December I going to use it to flat iron my hair and that will be a major determining factor on how I feel about this product.
