I know some of you don't venture to the Offtopic forum, so I wanted to post this here too.
Re: Oprah show and shirley's letter - http://www.longhaircareforum.com/for...d.php?t=407946
I'm motivated to write to Oprah, Tyra, Wendy Williams, etc to prove that not ALL black women have damaged, unhealthy hair. I want to show that we can grow to great lengths if we choose to.. I plan to submit this letter everyday to both of those women until I get a response to, why not? (remember someone did that on Oprah years ago, and finally received a response). I think this will be a good show topic for them.
Who's with me?
CurlyMoo suggested we create a video presentation, and I think that's a marvelous idea. I know that some of you don't want to expose LHCF, and I don't think that we have to. If you guys are seriously interested, let me know. I'm tired of people thinking that it's the norm for bw to have short, damaged hair or that we wear weaves because our hair don't/can't grow. Some of us choose to keep our hair short because we prefer it that way. Some of us wear weaves because it helps retain length.
Why not educate them to see otherwise?
