10 month Post BC update. I'm excited.

I did my BC in June 2010 and its been 10 months I cannot wait till a year. Im excited about my hair again.

I put in twists in early March, I went to Haiti for 2 weeks. Spent much time in the blazing sun. Moisturizing? What's that? Co wash yes now and then. scarf? bonnet? Nope. Just my satin pillow cases. I took my twists out today, detangled with the god of detanglers.. The Tangle teezer. It took me 5 minutes. Look what I can do... (This is dirty hair. Not yet washed from the twists.)

A bun with no pins and it was loose.

This was the only shedding I had after 1.5 months of twists and no care what so ever.

Post wash and DC hair and lots of shrinkage.

I'm glad you made good progress, even w/o consistent care. Now you can try incorporating a really good hhc regimen into your routine and see what happens

I will be. LOL It looks dry now that's cause its mad dirty from the twists. I will post clean hair pics later. Girl I was excited.

You have beautiful, resilient hair. I did that earlier this year and by the end of my trip, my hair was breaking off.

You will be fine. It's hair it grows. I Deep conditioned and twisted it to dry. It actually feels and looks better than when I used to do a whole bunch of stuff. Maybe simplicity is best. So KISS is for me.
