4b naturals: wet bun look or wet bun that stays moistured

I would like to wear buns that have a wet look and not dry look (which my hair becomes without bagging). Curly buttercreme / hair milk helped, however I felt they clogged my pores. Any suggestions?

Have you tried gel?What do you mean it clogged your pores? Were you putting it on your scalp?
