a rare hair update(LONG)

ok so i barely post pics of my hair on this board...to be honest...im not even on the hair forum im just here for ET&OT cause those forums give me life
anywho
well almost 1yr ago i posted about how i suffered from a HUGE setback and i basically went from long luscious thick MBL almost WL to WTF broken off thin see through BSL

so at first my hair was oh so sexy.i never had problems growing long hair without any effort-these are pics of my hair right when i joined the board

i took my hair for granted can you believe when i took the 2nd pic i was upset cause i though my hair was oh so short

then around 2011 i started birth control and my hair was falling out in clumps.on top of that i changed stylists cause my old one moved.that broad burned my scalp HORRIBLY w/a relaxer 3 muthafckn times.and on top of tht i decided to stop getting trims so all those together resulted in this rachetness

my ends were EXTREMLEY see through and my hair was soo thin.and i knew sh*t hit the fan for my hair when nobody questioned my exoticalness anymore
yes the worst of the worst had happened to me-people realized i was jus a regula ol negresse

then i found a new stylist and she saved my life...she decided she would gradually cut off all the bad ends ( i had about 3-4inches of bad ends in total) . slowly but surely my hair started to turn around and the thickness was coming back and on top of that it was shiny again even my braidouts were starting to look good again

in total ive been going to her for 4months and my hair has done a complete 360. today i went to her for a relaxer touchup and my hair was past BSL but i decided to finally let go of the last couple inches of bad ends. my ends are flipped so its a little longer than it looks in the pics
oh and my bathroom is a disaster so plz excuse it lol

my hair has thickened up tremendously and is muuuch healthier and my ends are finally back to being perfect!so with that said im hoping to be at least full BSL by December so that will be my next update

thnx, during my setback whenever i did braidouts they were horrid because my ends would be so scraggly and you could literallly see through my hair

i hope so,im happy with the way my hair is now so as long as it stays thick and my ends are good then i'll be fine if it ends up taking me awhile for my hair to reach MBL

i know now i can go back to having people think im a Portugese,Scottish,Guyanese,and Sierra Leonean mixxeed goddess
but since im not full BSL yet im going to just claim Guyanese and Sierra Leonean. once i get bast BSL i can move up the ladder to Portugese and Scottish lol

oooh yeaah!i was cyber bullied so bad back in highschool by all the popular girls-they would make fake fb accounts just to send me anonymous mssgs saying how if it wasnt for my hair i wouldnt be pretty and no guy would like me so i bettr make sure i take good care of it
lol i always assumed they were just hating but if i didnt have such thick skin i wouldnt have made it past my junior year
now them beiitchez are taking my orders at wendys& burger kang so its funny to see how things turned out

The funny thing I noticed was that in the beginning you stated how it was no problem for you to grow out your hair, then I scrolled down to the first pic and the look on your face was like "psh, yea ****....I got hair game on lock" lol

lollol yeaah back then i was sheeiitiin on all these chicks wit ma huur game with no effort
like i REALLY thought my hair was short

i would look in the mirror and be like "mmph ahhh i cant believe my hair isnt down to my waist yet *sigh* uggggh its sooo shooort" i sounded like one of those chicks from my supersweet16 this setback really was a humbiling experience
i was using Yaz but i stopped it because i was loosing soooo much hair i had shed hairs all over my bathroom,my sink,and my carpet.just running my hands through my hair would cause my hair to fall out it was ridiculous

before my setback i never depended on a stylist-i only went to my stylist for my touchups but after my setback my hair was in such a horrible state that i knew i couldnt turn it back around on my own. my current stylist is dominican and she said if i came to her weekly or every 2wks for a wash DC& rollerset she'd have my hair healthy&long before the end of the year. so basically thats all ive been doing-going to her for rollersets and getting only my roots blown out. i get my wash&set every 7-10 days and i moisturize in between with Silicon mix leave-in and a mixture of coconut&jojoba oil
She exclusively uses design essentials&alter ego so those are the only products ive been using on my hair besides my silicon mix leave in& my oils

every now and then when i want a different style i'll do a braidout

but thats pretty much it

lol ithe stylist i went to who took part in messing up my hair i think messed it up on purpose. she was black and she had looong thick shiny drool-worthy WL hair so of course when i first went to her i thought she'd be the perfect stylist because her hair was so nice..umm WRONG.she messed up my hair sooo so bad but yet she had the nerve to tell me "your hair is doing much better ever since you started coming to me" i knw for a fact she did it on purpose
