I began transitioning back to natural hair in July 2016. I never big chopped but would go to the salon for trims. My hair grew to be waist length. However, I started to notice my ends were much thinner than the rest of my hair and was debating on whether or not to have a big trim done - having a few inches cutoff. Meanwhile, I decided to have my hair braided. When it was time for me to take my braids down, I literally cut my braids/hair to just below shoulder length. Hence, the accidental - but much needed semi-big chop. Now, I have to go the salon to have a corrective cut done - a blunt bob, which is my favorite hairstyle. Has this happened to anyone else?
