I have taken some progress pictures as of today because I really didn't think my hair grew that much. My goal is APL, but it just seems that it is taken longer than I expected. It's been a year since the last set of pictures. It looks like it will take me another year to reach my goal. I need to be more strict with my routine. Like for example, deep condition twice a week instead of once and keeping my hair oiled - my hair seems to love this - less breakage. My next relaxer is not until Dec - 21 week stretch. Does anyone else have this same issue regarding slow growth from SL to APL?

My hair used to stay stuck at SL. Leaving my hair alone and keeping it braided and moisturized helped get me over the hump.

My hair could never get past shoulder-length, I heard that not babying your ends (like wearing it down so it rubs against shirts and excessive heat) can cause your hair to break as fast as it is growing. This is why I chose to stop relaxing, stop using heat, and stay in twists until I get over the hump. All that isn't really necessary, but this is helping with the overall health of my hair as well. Can't wait till I APL so I can start to enjoy my hair!
