<font color="blue"> So last week I took out my braids and relaxed my hair the same night. I know I know

. So now my hair is frizzy where it didn't take. For the next month or so I will be wearing fonytails and fake buns because my hair is too short (just at ear lenght) to make a bun and I am not as creative as DSD to make one. Anyway my question is what does eveyone uses to make the hair lye flat all day long?

Thanks for all of your help. I love this site.

After washing my hair I saturate it with S-curl then I put on coconut or jojoba oil and smooth in. After that I put a good amount of CD Healthy Hair Butter on and smooth with a boar bristle brush. This gets my hair really slick. My hair is on 85% relaxed(on purpose though) so I know your delima. The key is doing it while it is wet or damp. Good luck!

I tie damp(wet is even better) hair down at night with generous helping of Carol's Daughter Healthy Hair Butter and a silk scarf. My hair stays flat(and shiny) all day the next day.

like blaxalrose said, i do use activator and gel. it works pretty well for me. the activator provides the moisture, and the gel provides the hold. the thing to remember with gel is to get the alcohol free kind.

gel usually does the trick, but sometimes you need more, especially around touch up time. so i also occasionally use Vonté Silk Effects:
