So I used to much acid in my henna and my hair got really hard. I loved to color but I need some serious moisture. My normal hg major moisture conditioner (ors packets) where not cutting it. I tried again last night to soften it up an it would just not work. After another deep conditioning attempt my hair felt worse. I had refilled my creme of nature bottle with some of my moms green creme of nature shampoo because I was out last week. I decied to mix some oil oil with it and I washed my hair again. I then took out my ancient tub of queen helene cholesterol conditioner and slapped that in my head. I put on a plastic cap and figured if it didn't work then I would just cut my hair off. I left it on for about 2 hours and then rinsed. All I can say is ALL HAIL THE QUEEN!!!! That stuff made my hair feel like butter. I don't think my hair has felt that good in a long time. My comb out was so easy. I added a squirt of pink sunsilk creme with a small dab of noursh n shine. I set my hair on rollers and my curls today are beautiful. My hair is extremely moisturized but not weighed down. Now that I have found my perfect after henna conditioner, I plan on doing my new henna mix again next week. If you plan on doing a henna make sure you have this stuff on hand. I think a good size tub is only 3 or 4 bucks so go get it.

LoL. I need for you to not cut your hair off!! Thank you for suggesting this. I think we are pretty much in the same boat. After using Humecto to DC, I can feel some of my moisture trying to come back, but it's not all there yet. I am going to pick up some of this stuff on my way home!!

I am so glad you posted this! I colored my hair over the weekend Jet Black and all week it has felt hard. I have been afraid to touch it, for the fear of it all breaking off. I have some of the Queen's Cholesterol and I am going to try it tonight to see if it will soften my hair. I wasn't sure if I needed protein or moisture. I was afraid of doing an Aphogee treatment thinking it would be too much protein. I will post with my results tomorrow.

Update as promised: I washed with a moisterizing shampoo last night and then slathered on the Queen Helene Cholesterol for about an hour. When I rinsed my hair was like silk. I love it. I did a braid out for today and my hair is still moisterized and soft. Thank you so much for suggesting this.

I am glad it worked. This is going to become a staple for me after henna and color treatments. I am so glad I didn't give this away.
