I use this relaxer and the smell amazes me too, it doesn't smell like a relaxer. I didn't have any burning but my scalp is tough, but this relaxer is a keeper for me. I think the neutralizing conditioner is awesome too, totally neutralizes and detangles, and you hair feels moisturized. Another thing i noticed was i didn't have all the shedding and breakage i used to get from other relaxers.

I use the Lye version.
