I like to DC on dry hair because I don't have time to be jumping in and out of the shower. However, I often wonder if I am getting the full conditioning benefits when I use silicones and other products like Sabino Moisture block on my hair during the week. Since the silicones create like a barrier does the hair absorb the conditioner the same way it would if the hair was clean? Does this make sense or am I over-analyzing it?

Silicones do not form an impenetrable barrier on the hair so you'll probably be fine if you DC on dry hair. Try it and see.
