When I first joined this site, it seemed that everyone and their mother who relaxed used a lye relaxer (Affirm mostly). Now all the phytorelaxers enthusiats (Kady!) are really tempted to jump on the bandwagon (after I get my hair in decent condition that is). But does anyone have a big experience with this product? Any what about all the talk about non-lye relaxers being particularly drying- is this also true for phyto?

*Uh-Oh....when the Phyto Pusha sees this!
Whistle in the Wind....Tumbleweed rolls by....random bunny hops out of nowhere...*

u know i never knew anything about lye or no lye relaxers and the phyto relaxer didn't have my hair dry at all

i will honestly rate the phyto relaxer for u(looking for kaddy over my shoulder) just kidding. i can honestly say the phyto relaxer is the best relaxer i ever had. i really liked it because it made my hair fuller and thicker like it naturally is. whenever i usually get relaxers it is too straight and sometimes i wonder if it may be thinning my hair out.

but i don't feel phyto is worth the extra $60. i don't know any stylist that are using it, so i feel it's a great relaxer but not for the price, because my stylist doesn't give me a discount for bringing my own relaxer. so i have to pay $110 in total. i think if u apply your own relaxer then the phyto is a good splurge.

oh yeah, i didn't have any drying issues with my hair.

Nseya in Sandy Springs uses PHYTO. My cousin goes to them for her PHYTO relaxer. They are a little pricey though. $95 www.nseyasalonspa.com

'Tis blasphemous to speak ill about the beloved Phyto relaxer *lol*.

LOL!! Well I uses Mizani Sensitive Scalp, which has the same active ingrediants as the phyto and my hair is doing great.

Although Phyto is no-lye it is not made of what most no-lye relaxers are made of which is why no one is reporting dryness like with other no-lye relaxers.

If you do a search on the phytorelaxer you'll find old posts on the product and most of the reviews were negative. Maybe the formulation was different. Some one recently said they didn't like it, but used it on damaged hair.

You guys are too funny :) I have been waiting on my phytorelaxer from beautyofasite for over a month and still have not received anything. I just spoke with a rep at the company and she said that the relaxer is so popular that they have over 50+ people on backorder. I said forget it and asked for a credit. I will just stick with my regular relaxer. But it must be a good product.

Oh no..Don't give up. Order from somewhere else. Go find it, do want you need to do. Just get it! :lachen:

I would be too through with the beautyofasite crew though. I am sure we have been the mass influx of orders they received. Well, we must now put them on the vendor review board for sucking at delivery in a timely manner. :ohwell:

Hey, I believe I'm one of those 50 out there waiting! How inconsiderate of them not to advise the people purchasing of the delay! Anyways, I did yet another phytorelaxer search and found very few negatives that were pretty old. I think the back order is good for me because I'm determined to go six months before relaxing....my hair is super dry and in need of the TLC. but yeah, i'm pretty sure I'm going for it- will post the results when I do in (in June/July).

Yep :yep: backorder. She said that they should get a shipment from the distributor this week but they have to fill the orders first come first serve. So she was basically telling me that it was not guaranteed that I would get the product.

When did you order? I ordered on 1/6/05 and she said I would get it by next Wednesday. She never mentioned that I possibly would NOT get the relaxer.

I'm cryiiing ova here @ KAddy! Got her so fired up..she went on a smiley mission!

And ChampagneWishes is a trip! Ms. Kenesha is looking mad diva-ish in her avatar!

And again....I will say it ....Phytorelaxer is the ish...I'm broke..but it was worth it to me...I have no regrets in paying the 60 bucks (even though it was a xmas gift...lol)...I have no desire to ever use another relaxer. And I also know just to buy it straight from the store as it's no major savings really as I'm reading the commentary about these sites. Mo will just go get it directly in her hand and be her own damn shipping and handling..lol.

I'm laughing again! It may be time for you to seek help! Oh Lawd...lol.

Well, I'm not a Phytorelaxer hater, because I've never even tried it out. I was seriously considering trying it out. After thinking it over I decided not too. My reason? I've been using Design Essentials for years now, and it's doing a great job on my hair. Therefore, there's no need for me to try another relaxer.
