Im not an aphogee pro. I got my first treatment at the salon after my relaxer-I had major shedding. Usually after a relaxer my hair sheds until the next wash but after the aphogee treatment it hasnt shedded at all. I'm a believer and I have a sample that I will use with my next wash. I will only use it right before/after relaxing with a creamy deep condish.

Since my hair is sweeping shoulder length I DO have a problem with it sticking to my shoulder I'm always nervous that it will stick to my shoulder - get hard and break if I move my head. Anyone have that problem?

I love my results and I'm not even sure if I should be concerned.. I work so hard to lose hair for something so stupid.

My hair is a little longer and I pile my hair on top of my head while the Aphogee is still wet so it does not hang down as it dries. So you should have no problem. Just do not touch it once it hardens.

Yes I would! To anyone and everyone with a relaxer or color. These chemicals break our protein bonds and Aphogee helps immensly. But it's imperatively to follow with an intense moistuzing conditioner and DO NOT touch it when hard or even manipulate it too much when rinsing until all hardness is gone.

Used to use it 1 week before, or 1 week after a relaxer. Now i hardly use it...I use Emergencee now, it gives the same results but doesn't revert my relaxer.

What kind of conditioner do you use AFTER aphogee?
Nexxus hummectress and lots of oil to soften the hair..

Why do you use Aphogee?
To help my hair stay healthy and prevent breakage.

How do you do you Aphogee (ex: under a dryer, under a plastic cap, whatever)?
DETANGLE hair first, then apply in small sections, DO NOT AGITATE HAIR, or you will be very sorry. I also started plaiting 4 plaits so hair wont tangle. I let it dry hard under a hooded-dryer

How long after it dries hard do you let your Aphogee stay in?
About 20 minutes

Once you rinse your Aphogee what do you do next?
Rinse out thoroughly, WASH WITH SHAMPOO (CON moist/detang) then apply my conditioner, under dryer for about 15mins.

Will you recommend Aphogee to anyone? Why or why not?
Yes I would, but i advise them of the dangers of not using it correctly. And the tangling can be a nightmare if you use it while stretching.

I am doing the treatment myself this weekend. I'll be sure to post my method and results here. I am going to be using it on virgin hair, just out of braids 1 week. My hair is very porous but seems to be fairly strong. My cuticle needs filling in so the treatment should do wonders for me!

This is my first time using Aphogee in many, many years. The first time I used it I had no idea how to take care of my hair afterwards. I thought it was the worst thing that ever happened to hair! But now, I know better and I got the courage to give it another shot today. I could definitely tell a huge difference in my shedding. Who knew? I didn't think it would help since I wasn't experience a lot of "Breakage". But it actually seems to have helped my shedding.

Routine:
Design Essentials Deep Cleansing Organic (clarifying poo)
Design Essetials Moisture Retention Poo
Aphogee (until hair hard under dryer)
Deep conditioned for 45 mins with this combo(honey, evoo, jojoba, Elasta QP Intense Conditioner, coconut oil, peppermint oil). Under dryer.
Rinse and moisturize with leave in moisturizer.

Of course. This is a wonderful product that does wonders with stopping breakage and shedding just as well. It really reinforces the strength of the hair shaft. This stuff is amazing. And if you rinse extremely well, your hair will be soft again, even before you add your moisturizing conditioner.

Aphogee users - in between the 6-8 weeks before next treatment do you use any type of mild protein conditioner/treatment? I did my first treatment on 1/6 - I'm still having some shedding issues - nothing major but I would like for it to stop all together. But I've always been a shedder and I'm wondering if it's just natural. My reason for using it in the first place was for breakage in crown area (first time I've had this after a 14 week strech/airdrying) and to strenghten.

Do you stretch/how long? I stretch anywhere between 14 - 16 weeks at a time. Endeavouring to stretch 26 weeks ultimately.

Between intervals of hard protein to you use other forms of protien? Yes I use a mild protein weekly and sometimes bi-weekly. I tend to use CON Reconstructor, or At One Reconstructor, or Affirm 5 in 1 Reconstructor, or Aphogee 2 minute Reconstructor. I have a olt of reconstructors.

What kind of shampoo do you use before Aphogee?
I use the recommended Aphogee shampoo first immediately followed by a wash out with Mizani Botanifying Conditioning shampoo.

I use it every 7-8 weeks without fail. It is about this time when I see a little extra breakage and also when I'm stretching my relaxer, I'd use it about 2 weeks before my next relaxer followed by the mild Aphogee 2 minute reconstructor about 3 - 5 days just before my relaxer.

Wow, I have an amazing collection of deep moisturizing conditioners that I use and among them are Mizani Moisturefuse, Kenra Moisturizing conditioner, Elucence Moisture Balancing conditioner, Keracare Humecto, Pantene R/N Hair conditioning mask, and now Nexxus Humectress and Nexxus Humectin conditioners.

I use it for it's definitive purpose and that is to stop breakage and it's ability to do this suppoorts my ultimate goal of retaining the length of my hair.

I aphogee'd today, I used the Aphogee essential oils right after I rinsed and proceeded to the balancing moisturizer and quick in quick out Kera Cara humeto...my hair feels so goooooodddddd!!!! I am going to add the essential oils to my weekly cowashes....
