When my hair was breaking from a bad relaxer my aunt (who used to be a hairdresser) got very upset when I told her that I've never had a strand test done before.

If you do know of one can you refer one in NYC.

Yes,Dermalax in Brooklyn. I believe the cross streets are Church & Nostrand. They do a strand test and also base your scalp before relaxing.
