Okay my avatar shows my hair before the ayurvedic hair treatments and my signature shows the 5 months of progress. These pictures are also in my LHCF album.

If someone can pm me so that I can post them side by side in a thread. Please do.:look:

I wish I knew how to post side by side too, that's absolutely great progress and I can't wait to hear what u r doing.

Thanks for your comments. Okay regi time:

Scalp massages with coconut oil, brahmi oil, and Candy C's indian sensation.

Pre-poo with coconut oil, brahmi oil, castor oil, or olive oil.

Powders used: shikaki, amla, brahmi

Leave in: cantu shea butter and seal with coconut oil.

I do not tea rinse because it was somewhat drying. I use suave humectress and mix brahmi powder together for a moisturizing hair treatment. For the past month before it got cold I would come home from work mix up my hair treatment, put it on, leave it on for 2 hours, take my shower, rinse, condition and seal. Airdry and pin my hair up. Wear a modified bun.

My try tea rinsing again.

It is effortless. At first overwhelming, but I wanted to learn how to use these powders. I read most of the ayurvedic threads I could find. Purchased Candy C's book and some of her products and here I am.

Many people are upset with Candy C right now but you can purchase these products from a local indian store.

Great growth. Your regi is simple enough. I am working on a co-wash mixture similar to yours, I want to add co- washing to my regi.

Nice growth. How many inches would you say you got?
And um :look: why are people upset with Candy_C? Because she's charging now?

Nice growth, you and AngelDoll are making me buy all these ayurveda products!!!!! I still support Candy C and still ordered from her.....I have a few questions, did you mix the whole bottle of conditioner and the box of powder or did you use meaurements? Are you relaxed?

Wow, you have some amazing growth! I need to start doing scalp massages, but I always feel like it could be damaging my hair with all the rubbing.

Okay, I really don't measure. I just put the amount of condish. I think will coat my hair and dump 1 tsp. of brahmi powder in it and mix.

To cleanse I make a paste of shikaki/amla. Put on my scalp, massage, ( It can be hard to massage beacuse of the consistency of the paste but I do ), and coat my hair with the paste or mix some condish and coat the rest of my hair. I also mix oil in my paste.

Yes I am relaxed. Longest stretch 8 weeks.

Don't know how many inches. I'll have to get a ruler. The Candy C situation not worth talking about.:nono:

Great progess Huricane! I just purchased the shikakai, amla and brahmi powders, can't wait to start using them. Has the ayuvedic method made your new growth softer at all? I think I remember someone saying before that they did. The longest I've steched was 7wks, I'm cureently on my 6th wk and I really want to da atleast 10 wks but not sure if I can, especially since I have a short do.

I will never leave ayurvedic....ever.

This is the best my hair has ever been as a natural. Soft, lush and moisturized.

I can't even believe it.

I.Can't.Even.Believe.It.......

When I mixed some brahmi powder with my condish. it did make my NG soft. I think that is how I got to 8 weeks.
