Oil and Relaxer...Now what do I do?

Okay so after a 12 week stretch, I decided to relax do to some crazy shedding. This time I decided to add some Jamaican Black Castor Oil to my hair before I went to help prevent overlapping and try to not make my hair bone straight ..Everything was going good until I felt my roots. Even after the blowout, my roots felt exactly the same as when I walked in  . I went to my regular Dominican Salon a week later (not the salon I did the relaxer in) and after they washed my hair and deep conditioned, my stylist struggled to rollerset and blowout:perplexed . When I told her that I got a relaxer a week earlier...she was shocked and asked me what happened :( .

Now what do I do? When is the next time I should relax? My hair is no longer shedding but I can't handle the new growth. Its as if I relaxed with water :p. The stylist that relaxed used Motions Mild..I normally use Affirm. LHCF Ladies please help..

SRRY TO HEAR THAT. DID YOU WASH YOUR HAIR WITHIN THAT SAME WEEK BEFORE GOING TO THE DOM. SALON TO GET IT DONE?

Naaa..I washed about 2 weeks before that. O man. I'm not sure what to do now because I would like to do a corrective touch up but I'm not sure how long to wait. I don't want to do any damage but I'm not sure if I can wait another 8-10 weeks for one with all this NG I have now:ohwell:

i think the castor oil was too heavy and the relaxer was not able to straighten your roots

I agree. Then on top of that I read a lot of complaints about Motions relaxer underprocessing and causing frizzy hair. I suggest you find another relaxer. You should do a search on "relaxer" and you will come up with big threads about what people think is the best relaxer. Also you don't HAVE to wait 8-10 weeks, but I advise the shortest time you do wait is 6 weeks. Make sure you overlap the underprocessed areas as well as the newgrowth.

The whole point of adding oils to a relaxer is to purposely underprocess (texlax). So if you like your hair straight or even bone straight I suggest you skip this step next time.

I relax with Phyto 2 and the last time I relaxed I used Olive oil in it. It came out perfectly. Castor oil is very heavy. Most of the threads I have seen on this name olive oil, coconut oil, amla oil...much lighter oils to use in the relaxer concoction. Plus, how long did she leave it on and did she comb through the new growth well? Just curious. I only use a tablespoon of the oil to add to the relaxer also.

YEA I AGREE, MAYBE IT WAS THE CASTOR OIL THAT WAS TOO HEAVY TO GET IT STRAIGHT. AND I'VE ALSO HEARD A COUPLE OF STORIES WHERE MOTIONS HAVE LEFT PEOPLE UNDERPROCESSED
