I went to go get my hair braided. While the hair was braided for two months and a half, I gained about 1-2 inches of new growth. That was great.

Well, after two months and a half I went back to get the braids taken out at the place. Little did I know those as****** didn't know what they were doing.

When they took out my braids, they used the little a** tale combs, and combed out the braids besides unbraiding it to retain my lenght. Then they were cutting the briads too short. The Lady that braided my hair had to stop the other lady before she cut off all of my natural hair.
That's the last time I go to those people.

I was about to cry.

Who else had something similar to this happen to them?

I remember getting out of braids (which I did on my own) once in November and having 3+ inches of new growth. In fact, since I was getting a touchup, it took her 3 relaxer kits to get all of the newgrowth.

She was so upset that I had so much hair (kept saying the ENTIRE time how much time it was taking...and she had the nerve to talk on the cell to her friends while the relaxer was burning my scalp). She RAKED all my hair from bra-strap to 3 inches past my shoulder. Then she flat-ironed it and cut the 3 inches off, saying my hair was damaged anyway (and WHO's the one who damaged it???

Anyway, I learned that I really need to speak up more when someone is doing something bad to my hair, not just cuss the b

It happened 3 months ago, and it still makes me upset to hear what these heffas are doing to our hair!

So needless to say, I understand how you feel.

Since braids take such a long time to unravel, I recommend doing it by yourself on a weekend when you have time. Beauticians who feel like their time is being wasted will ruin your hair!

I had a friend that this happened to. She just sat in the chair and cried. What can you do when they have already cut your natural hair? NOTHING!!!!!!!! My advice to you is to ALWAYS take your braids out yourself or at least have some girlfriends you trust help you on a weekend when you don't have to rush. In college we would do this for each other while watching a good chick flick. It was fun and took less time. Hopefully you didn't lose too much length.

Guess what!!!! The Beauticians who messed up may hair were on the channel 9 news. A customer went to the news and told them what they did to her hair. Channel 9 news to her took a professional and the professional said that they would have to cut off all of her hair because it was so badly damaged. They girl said it took her 2 years to grow that hair.
The beautician didn't even have liscensing. They ruined her hair and almost did the same to me. Now I know that I need to find someone special to do my braids. I hope people who used to go there all the time, get their hair examined because they ruined the girl hair.
The professional did give her a cute short hair cut that matched her face type. They told her to deep condiotion every week and sleep on a silk pillowcase. I hope that she finds this website to help her.
