How do you wear your hair for bed? :) I currently wrap my hair but am worried that my hair will thin as a result!

I put in a few satin foam curlers to keep a little bump in the back, but most I lie down to keep my hair flat. I tie it all down with a satin wrap and then secure it with a regular scarf (that 2nd one never really touches my hair)

When I remember to cover it up I just tie a scarf on it. Or if I'm really being lazy a satin bonnet. Most of the time I'm in weaves or something so its biggie.

Lately I've been putting my hair in a loose bun and then put on my scarf. It's never on when I wake up, but at least I tried. I also have the satin pillowcase as a back-up. I don't wear my hair in a "style" right now, so it doesn't matter. When I want to look cute...then I dunno how to deal with that :look:.

After salon visits, I use my wrap snap & gos/solar rollers and satin scarf. Most nights I will wrap ,but change directions when I happen to think about it. I tie my hair up with a du-rag and/or satin scarf. I've had great results with my hair within the last 6 months.

Silk Stockings work great. They stick to my head better than scarfs.

so not many of you wrap your hair then? I am recently virgin relaxed and was under the impression that wrapping was the only way for relaxed hair. Ok, well now I am enlgihtened.

I'm a regular wrapper. I've been wrapping to the right for sooo many years, and now my hair on the left side flips up and I hate it. I try my hardest to switch sides, but it feels uncomfortable.

I've tried the cross wrap and pin curling a few times :look:

Wrapping caused my hair to break off really bad on the left side of my head. So now, if I want to wear a straight style, I do the crosswrap method. I've been really lazy lately and have just been wearing a pony...at night, I tie my hair back with a silk scarf, cover with a plastic cap (baggie), then cover with a satin bonnet.

what's the cross wrap method?

I either cross wrap it when it's straight pr scarf it back in a twistie bun.

I usually section my hair and put 6 braids in or so and cover it in a scarf.

Still wrapping right now til I find another method. I try to alternate the way I wrap weekly so I dont wear out one side.
