After reading the Silk Elements thread, I noticed that some experienced dryness using the neutralizing shampoo. I have only self-relaxed twice, and I did notice dryness with the poo, but I thought that was normal. Before I relax again, I wanted advice about a moisturizing neutralizing shampoo. Thanks for the help.:)

Vitale poo and Profectiv neutralizing mousse are both very good. I have 4a/4b hair and it doesn't feel dry. CON poo made it feel like straw:mad:

When I used Silk Elements I purchased a cheapo neutralizing poo with the color indicator so you know when you have shampood out all the relaxer. Its called 'proclaim' white bottle, red and black writing...99cents for 8oz and it has Panthenol in it. I didn't feel dry with it. HTH:look:

What kind of CON shampoo did you use. Was it a neutralizing shampoo? Perhaps you needed a neutralizing shampoo to balance the pH level and to remove the remainder of the relaxer residue. I use a neutralizer and sometimes followup with CON Moisturising Formula (Green and White bottle). However, there is one neutralizing shampoo that I favor, that I do not have to do this with and that is Dudley's Neutralizing Shampoo. I first tried this shampoo about a year ago. I got it at our LHCF meeting from Keen. I really liked this neutralizing shampoo. I had nice slip and I didn't have the residue feel of a relaxer which if not rinsed properly can leave a residue, become dry and limit the sheen or shine on your hair. Furthermore, causing you hair to also break especially if you add in the addition of using appliances to style your hair. This is just my experience. I hope you get the results that you desire. Happy hair growing!
