Bottled Water for Hair Weird Question...

I like to re-wet my hair every so often when I wear it curly but I feel like tap water is giving it a bit of frizz especially since I do have hard water. If I were to buy some bottled water and put it in a spritzer bottle how long could I save it for before I had to worry about microbes forming in it? I don't want to be spraying bacteria of all sorts into my hair... I used to wonder how long the water would sit in the bottles in hair salons that they use to spritz before cutting etc. lol

i always use bottled water in my spritzer bottle! No need to unecessary expose your hair to the hard water. Using distilled water is a good idea :)

I was JUST about to post about this!!! I have been seeing some recommendations re: using distilled water, but no explanation as to why. ebonyseas - I actually have some of this in my closet, just collecting dust! I'll probably use it up in no time b/c it's mini bottles, but at least it will finally get some use!

i live in florida and i have hard water so i use Ion hard water condish on most wash days but now im gonna try distilled water. i wonder if hair care companies use distilled water in their products?

So if I buy distilled I won't need to worry about germs forming in my spray bottle if I keep the same water for a few weeks? Are Poland Spring, Evian etc distilled?
