Hey ladies I just took down my 2 strand twist that I put in a month ago and I deep conditioned over night, now here is my question? How long do I have to wait before putting the braids back in? I really want to do them today, because I am trying to stretch 6 months! I want to make sure I will not damage my hair by doing so. Please let me know what you would do. Thanks ladies!

Hmm, I used to do my kids hair back to back, but now I am going to wait at least two weeks. One of my daughters has not had a problem with back to back. But one has hair that seems to be weaker.

I have worn braids for two years straight redoing each braid as needed and then changing the hair after one year w/o any breaks. No problem there.

I've been fine putting mine in right away but some people say to wait 2 weeks

I usually braid back to back with no problems at all. But I've got pretty hearty hair :lachen:

HAHA! I think mine is pretty hearty as well, I use to do micros babk to back, but that was before my healthy hair journey started! So I just want to make sure i am not damaging my hair.

TY! I appreciate your help!

As long as you don't see any bad things going on with your hair then it's fine to braid back to back.

go for it.

I agree with everyone else. In the past I've braided back to back with no problems. As lon as you're not experiencing any negative results, why not?
