I did a search and see only a very small number of ladies mentioned it though mostly that was in 2004. Has anyone tried the line? I am going to purchase (possibly) the medium to thick line. Any current reviews?

ETA: Review in post #6 :yay:

I haven't used the Curl Conscious stuff but I did look at it in the store. It looks like it would be good but they're so expensive though. When I went to the salon a few weeks ago, my hairdresser used the Bumble and Bumble Creme De Coco shampoo on my hair it was absolutely heavenly. I think I might shell out the $$ and buy some.

I went on ahead and bought the 8oz bottles of the poo, dish and creme. Off to use it now :) The salon employee advised if i'm not satisified i can get the money back ($70 total) so i'm ok with that. Supposedly it's very moisturizing so we shall see.

Let us know, Bre. Where are Bumble and Bumble products sold?

Check out this link and go to the store locator and fill in your zip:www.bumbleandbumble.com

Here is my review:

Overall I am very pleased
I am a 4a (more or less) and natural

The shampoo was average. It got my hair very clean but may possibly be a little drying.

The conditioner only gave me a little bit of slip. But really nothing gives me much slip except for a few of the watery cheapy conditioners (and I have to use toooooons of that for maximum slip). The conditioner is nice and thick!! Kind of had a orange scent to it which was very light to me.

The cream was nice overall. A little goes a long way. I used maybe a half dollar sized coin amount more or less and distributed with my fingers.

After the entire process I touched a few sections of my hair (as best i could without ruining the curl/texture) and my hair feels extremely moistured. It has never felt this way before which is pretty odd (in a good way). It feels really really soft!

ETA: The creme i will use after every co wash. The shampoo will be used once a week. For the conditioner i will be mixing it with a lot of my cheapy conditioner so i can make it stretch and also to get more slip. If i continue to have the same experience i will definitely rebuy this line as needed. I would say if nothing else get the moisturizing cream and try that and see how you like it :)

good question. My definition looks about the same, it's just more coditioned/moisturized than normal. will have to see if this still holds true once it is dry. What I will also do next time is throw some ic gel on my hair after using the cream. This really helps me with definition when it's all said and done (it's just a lil drying for me). One more thing, this line gives me more shrinkage than normal so maybe it does add a little to the curl formation that i thought previously. I am between sl and apl and my shrinkage goes right up into a twa :lachen:
I tried my best to take some good pics (don't laugh :lachen:):

Now Bre you gonna make me go spend more money that I don't need to spend :nono:  Where'd you buy it from? I saw the whole line in a Blue Mercury here. And my salon sells most of the stuff. I think I'm gonna buy that Creme de Coco condish. I don't really need to spend all that $ on shampoo since I don't use it that often.

Oh yeah, Bre I think we might be hair twins!!!

I bought the line from the Tangles salon by my house. I think I am going to take back the shampoo and keep the conditioner and the creme as i think these two are the crucial components for me. I haven't tried the creme de coco condish but it sounds enticing.

I wish i was your hair twin girl! Your hair is beautiful and you have way more curl definition in your crown and bangs area. My hair is basically straight with just teeny waves and minimal curl :lachen::ohwell::perplexed:lachen:

Shrinkage is a mutha, ain't it? Your hair looks so soft and lush in the pictures. I love the little coilies in the back.

I'm not natural... I'm texlaxed so I'm a frequent wash-n-go wearer. I wonder if the Bumble and Bumble line will work for me?

I don't see why not :) Why don't you go to the bumble and bumble site, find the store nearest you, give em a call and see if they have a money back guarantee like mine does. That way you can try it a couple of times and if it doesn't work, no sweat off your nose! pm me and let me know your results if you do, i wanna see pics too if you likey!!

MMMkay. well, the Coco De Creme conditioner was great. Awesome for those with very dry hair and it also has protein in it.. However, the super rich is better for those who only want moisture and no protein at all. So, if you have a leave-in, such as the ApHogee Keratin Spray, that is strong enough to rebuild your hair, then get the Super Rich line, paired with the Gentle shampoo. I personally am obsessed with the Alojoba Conditioner. It seems at first that it isn't doing its job, because its a bit more watery than the other conditioners. However, it detangles well (especially if you leave it in) and as you co-wash with it daily it will rebuild your hair. It got me through the dry summers. I love this stuff. I also love their deep conditioner. Its such a good protein treatment and it left my hair so incredibly soft. However, its so expensive and I am finding other brands are starting to come up on that Bb. when it comes to Deep Conditoning.

thanks for sharing sweetie. when I first went natural I was going to try the b & b line but decided to try AO & Givonnai instead.

So far, the line is well worth the money. But, as time goes on, I am finding some pretty decent equals. However, nothing beats their condishes, especially the Alojoba. I can never find anything that gives my hair that perfect 50/50 balance.

Hey Bmore,
Are I your twin? I haven't really seen the back of your hair but check out my fotki and let me know!

Giving this thread a big ol BUMP cause a friend recently gave me a sample of their poo/con/leave-in from their curl conscious line and it WAS heavenly! :yep:

My hair was SOOOOO soft and MOIST after using it that it had me rethinking my next Aveda refill and am considering rotating between the Aveda and the B&B! I may try to get my hand on some more samples though first.

Anyone else using B&B right now??

I still have it in my rotation and i lurve it :yep: It's really good for me when I have done like 6 cowashes in a row and want to poo my hair without stripping it. I love the shampoo, conditioner and the leave in. Some of my shampoo spilled out last weekend (i would say about 15% of the bottle) and I almost passed out :lachen:

I bought it a while back, tried it once and it was ok. I ended up returning it, I knew I wasn't going to use it up.
