Just curious as to what delicious butters you guys have on hand and which ones work best for you and your hair type. I am a 3c/4a. I have pistachio butter, olive butter, shea butter and jojoba butter.

I know that mowrah butter was great on my hair and scalp. Love the pistachio butter as well. The others I will be trying when I remove my tree braids.

im not sure of my hair type. thinking its 3b or c. i love unrefined shea butter. i also have and use hairvedas green tea butter.

Ordered from most favorited to least-most favorited lol

1. Shea butter
2. Sweet Almond Butter
3. Hempseed butter
4. Mango Butter
5. Avocado Butter

My least favorite butters are shealoe and aloe..and any hard butters.

4a medium/fine

Hair type: 3c/4a
Favorite Butter: Qhemet Biologics Burdock Root Butter Cream

I use shea butter. I would love to try some of the others.....What is a good source to purchase??

Just found out my hair type 4b and i use hairveda green tea butter and qhemet root burdock butter.

I am pretty sure that I am a 4b hair type, and I like Sheabutter, I would like to try avocado and mango butter too :yep:

Wow, didn't realize there were so many different types of butters for the hair. But I use whipped shea butter from schescentit.com. It's so light and fluffy you barely know it's there.:yep:
ETA: Forget to add that I'm 4a hair type with a teeny tiny bit of 3C in some spots!

i also like hydratherma naturals growth lotion. its a lotion that contains five butters including shea, olive and almond. it also has glycerin.

For the ladies who use unrefined shea butter; what kind are you using?? I tried one from whole foods and it weighed my hair down something terrible and my curl definition was non-existant. Could this have just been a bad batch??? What does your shea butter do to your hair??

I'm texlax 3c/4a. My favorite is my homemade Whipped Shea butter (I have it in my fotki) and shealoe. I haven't tried any other butter.

I been sticking to shea butter because it works and too tired right now of being a product junkie to try something else. Maybe early next year when I run out of my shea I will try a different butter.

Ooohh almost forgot: 3c/4a fine relaxed

majority 3c
the only butter that I have tried that I can use is avocado. It has to be thinned with some oil and I can only use it once bet. washes. I have to use it knowing I will have to wash soon. I think butters are too heavy for my relaxed hair

I use and LOVE shea butter. I generally use it on my wet ends (and 2nd and 3rd day hair), but lately, I've been experimenting with it on wet twists. My hair adores it! I'm 4a/3c and my hair is always parched. Shea makes it feel like butter and it also helps to control my thick a$$ roots.

hth!

i'm 4b and I like burdock root butter cream and the now discontinued olive conditioner and detangling cream. i'd like to try avocado butter, since i like avocado oil. i'm not the biggest fan of plain shea butter.

I LOVE shea butter.
I would like to try avocado butter in the future.

4a
Elasta QP Mango Butter

*how is everyone using their shea butter? I find mine hard to distribute through my hair
