How do you define a dust, trim, or cut?

  • A Dust= less than half an inch

I do the same thing. I also do this when I flat iron. I flat iron one section, then dust a little off the ends. I like to do it this way to make sure I'm not missing any split ends. If I want to make sure it's perfectly even, I'll go to a stylist and ask her to even it up but try to preserve the length.

Yeah it works well, but I have a little trouble with the back because my hair is much shorter; do you use two mirrors to dust the back ends? Thanks
 
I dust my twists on average about every 6 weeks right before the full moon..
I trim my hair right before the full moon on an as needed basis. But the more often I dust, the less I need to trim. :drunk:
