Can I color my hair immediately after protein treatment?

I know ladies here have advised not using reconstructor immediately before or after relaxer, but should I worry about that with hair color? The last time I relaxed was a month ago but my hair gets lighter over time with relaxer. I just used L'anza reconstructor but now I feel I can't take the "orange" hair any longer and I want to dye it black when I am done with the reconstructor+rebalancer. Anyone done this before?

What kind of color do you want to use? There shouldn't be any problems with a black rinse but I don't know about a permanent color. I'm thinking "no" because adding color isn't supposed to strip or dry your hair te way taking color does. But, again, I'm not certain.

If you are just doing a rinse, though, go for it.

Good luck to you.

Hi Kimberly thanks for the reply, I was thinking of using a permanent no ammonia color to dye it black.

Wait what's a rinse? Is it the same as semi-permanent color from the drugstore? I don't want the orange to show through again after some washes.
