i feel like i'm doing everything right and my ends are still not cooperating!
i am almost full hl, so i'm retaining moisture well...my ends feel soft & moisturized...but for some reason they are still splitting! to take care of my relaxed hair i:
-M&S at LEAST one time a day! i section my hair, mist w/mixture of leave-in, water, and oil, apply leave-in directly to my ends on TOP of that, AND seal!
-DC 1x w/ a light protein (ORS Replenishing Condish)
-comb only on wash days, which means once a week.
-use a moisturizing shampoo (although i am still looking for a sulfate free one, but i only shampoo 1x a week anyway so i don't see that being the major cause, right?) and follow up with moisturizing conditioner
- protective style 99.99% of the time (bunning)! god forbid if i want to wear my hair down, my ends get so mad and just go on a splitting spree!
-detangle from the ends up, very gentle, in 4-6 sections.
-use safe accessories that don't frizz my ends up
-dust regularly (Although i really feel like i'm dusting a little too frequently)
-oils i've used include light oils like Jojoba, Safflower, Grapeseed, and Coconut and heavier oils like EVOO, Castor & JBCO, Hot 6, etc.
i know my ends are receiving moisture because they FEEL soft but LOOK noticeably split.
erplexed
can someone please help me?
