I am so darn tired of perms and I am not sure I want to go natural again. Can I just texlax from now on? If so are there any good brands to look for. In addition, how do you do it I need tips. Please advise.

Hey Friend - yes you can do this ...I recommend putting texlax or texlaxers in the search engine as there are many ways to do this...

:yep: yes...texlaxing is just intentionally underprocessing a relaxer. There will be a difference between the texlaxed and relaxed (bone straight) hair though...maybe even a line of demarcation.

Yes, I just started texlaxing last year and there is a noticeable difference in the thickness of the texlaxed hair versus the relaxed.

I'm soooo tempted to go natural it's not even funny :nono:

I use ORS no-lye normal and I don't leave it on as long, giving me the results I want.

I like it so much that I will probably eventually go natural in about 5-10 years.

As another poster said, be careful with the two textures.

do you mean it will be more fragile?

I was relaxed just about all my life and finally made a decision to texlax my hair this month which was last week Thursday incidently. I had my stylist trim off 3 inches already and will be trimming with every texlaxer until all the bone-straight hair is off altogether. i can't wait to have 100% texlaxed hair on my head and I am able to do my wash and goes without looking like a deseased wet rat:lachen::yep:.

If you don't mind 2 textures, then by all means, texlax. If you want a whole head of texlax, you can slowly transition and chop your relaxed hair off bit by bit.
