toronto ladies, are there many dominican salons in toronto?I am moving to toronto in May, I can't wait to get out of Montreal, probably will live in Mississauga, I would like to know if there are latin stores, markets, etc
thanks

Hi back,;)
I'm now on the hunt for latin stores here in TO. There are a lote of East Indian markets, for oils, henna, and the like. I'll post when and if I locate any latin, Dominican stores. :)

Hey fellow Canuck over here in Winnipeg, MB ladies.:) Nice to know who else can relate to the terrible winter weather we get in Canada. I usually buy my products at Walmart and Dino's, an east indian store. :D At Dino's I buy my Vitika oil, amla oil and black hair products like realxers etc. I turned my friend onto the sight because she's natural and look to the ladies for help, though she is not a member.

What other online stores do you girls shop at located in Canada? I also have bought my henna at a Lush store located at a major mall here.

I might have to keep an eye on you Canadian ladies. Im looking to move to Winnipeg, Manitoba in about 7 months time or so.
Any tips on where to go for hair products would be lovely so i can make a note. When i was there i found two salons i could get hair products from, one on Portage ave, not sure if i can name the shop.

I may need to go to a salon to get my hair done, if i don't learn myself in time - so if you can name a few places that do hair well that would be great. :)

Hi Missnappylady,

I've never heard of the stores you mentioned but I'd be interested in checking them out! Can you give me the addresses of where they are located? Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone, this is my first post.
I am in St.Catharines, ON. I get some of my stuff from abantu. I have been able to find sedal and kan kanechomn ( I know they had more, but i cannt remember) in a brazilian store in toronto on dufferin and Dundas. I guess the brazilian hair products are very similar to the dominicans.

I dont know the name of the store. I am goin to Toronto end of next week, and I'll find out the name of the store. When I find out i'll post it.

Another Canadian here !!

I'm from Montreal !

I buy my stuff to some haitian on Jean-Talon street. When I was relaxed I liked to get my hair done to Domicans. I would go to Maria salon on Jean-Talon street (again) if I remember. :)

That that I'm natural, I can't find a damn stylist who can handle my hair:look:

The shoppers drug mart on Young st (at College and Young) has Giovanni Direct Leave in and some other products on clearance for $5.

For the ladies that were asking about dominican products in the GTA, there is a dominican salon called

Martha Beauty Centre
2708 Jane Street (Sheppard & Finch)
Toronto, Ontario
Tel. 416- 746- 3127.
It is just matter of calling and asking if they have the products you are looking for.

I live in Toronto (Scarborough to be exact). When I'm feeling lazy, I get my hair products from Walmart, since I'm always there. In the summer when I don't mind running around, I venture up to the Sally's Beauty Supply on Morninside/Milner Ave. There's also an Indian grocery store at Markham/Lawrence Ave that I buy my henna from. It's called India Town and the Nupur Henna is only $2.99, and pretty good.

Quite a bit of us here! ..Im in Toronto too

Does anyone know where I can get Natural hair products in store..any listings? (Deep conditioners, shampoos clarifiers, conditioners, hair oils, Shea butter etc..)

Also, can someone please tell me why Dominican products are soo good?..I hear a lot about it
