Castor oil and hair polisher

I was just wondering if anyone mixes their JBCO with hair polisher or serum to thin it out since its so thick and sticky? I was thinking of doing this. Would doing this ruin the benfits of castor oil?

I often mix mine with shine polish...works great to thin the oil a bit. I still get great results this way.

My hair would hate that. It likes the thickness of JBCO.
