Ive been using castor oil on my thinning temples and edges for about 3 or 4 weeks and I havent noticed any new growth in those areas. Am I doing something wrong? I just apply liverally with my fingers before retiring. Suggestions ladies?

What kind of castor oil are you using? Most of the ladies here seem to use the Home Health and Now brands. Jamaican black castor oil and palma christi oil are also popular.

My cousin has been getting good results from adding a TBS of palma christi to the Profectiv Anti-Thinning Stimulant.

Ive been using one from Baar products. Its all natural and very thick/sticky. Thanx for the recommendations for palma christi...I was trying to avoid purchasing something new.

Along with the other suggestions others have provided you could also try mixing a drop or two of peppermint or rosemary oil as a stimulant to the castor oil, that's what I do and I find it works better.

If you mist your hairline with water first then use the oil to seal it in, it will work much better.

Thanx sweetcocoa. I usually moisturize all of my hair with Headdress, then apply essential oils to my ends and castor to my edges. I will try your suggestion with distilled water, then oil.
