photo Link in signature. I have grown about 2.5 to 3 inches of hair from nothing ( yes I was just about bald). I currenlty trimmed 1/2 inch of a week ago. Ah how my ends feel so much better. Also I colored my hair because I was getting bored. I love the bronze cooper it's great for summer.

I'm still trying to find a regime, I think that has hinder my retention of hair. I realized in the last two week that my dry brittle hair problem is solved by using curl activator or just using Dr. Bonners peppermint shampoo. Not alot of products, yes I was definitely over doing it.

I'm currently have my hair twisted ( I have to look somewhat professional for Inroads internship). But I still plan to rock the fro this summer, I love my fro.

My proposed regime for summer:

*rinse daily to ever other day

*wash with Dr. Bonners peppermint or black soap whenever hair itches but at least once a week no matter the style.

*Use African Braid Braid Spray as a mositurizer when needed.

* Keep hair soft. No using products that cause stickness or dryness or crunchiness. Therefore I'm sticking to natural products.

* No need for daily CO washes. My hair doesn't like conditioner anymore. So I'm going to deep conditioning weekly with Lekair ( pink bottle) to maintain mositure and retain ends. Also, I think my skin ( face, chest, back ) breaks out from conditioner washes.

* Major rules: eat healthy and Leave hair alone.

Finally, donate old products to a women's shelter, no need to through them away. Any suggestions for women's shelters n Philadelphia?

I'm going to do this for the summer and see how much growth I achieve. I'll try to update monthly since I'm doing the TWA growout challenge. So I'll take pictures when I measure.

Let me know if you have any suggestions for my regimen. Enjoy the photos. Excuse the shiny face....

You should be able to find women's shelters in your area by calling your crisis or domestic violence hotline. Your idea is an excellent one! I may donate any hair products I'm not using to my local shelters also.

I love your twists. I wish my hair liked twists. Your regimen sounds good, I think simple is best.
