She must have had quite a few inches cut off, though. Her straightened hair is the same length as her curly hair. She doesn't have massive shrinkage, but it seems there should be a significant difference in length...

I used to think the same but apparently this isn't always the case! I used to work with a girl whose hair is MBL when it's completely dry in its natural 3C curly state and it's MAYBE about an inch longer when she straightens it. I swore that her straightened hair would be past her butt. She just has a heavier, coarser texture that barely shrinks.

I absolutely ADORE her hair but I have to be honest, I feel that there are women in this board who have just as amazing hair if not more amazing. It is pretty cool to see her hair straightened after so long though. It's so lush and healthy.

Yeah, Chime doesn't really have shrinkage. Her hair's like Polynesian and some Jewish ladies- lots of kink and some wave but no real curl. I almost snapped when she had the nerve to show her not-shrinkage by pulling her hair down like 2 inches

Yeah, I saw that. But I still wasn't sure the actual name of the salon she was in. One of the ladies in the background looked familiar. I guess I will have to peruse her website later to see if a name pops up.

If that's them, they did a good job but they seemed shocked and confused that there was someone with my hair texture in their salon. I was like isn't this a natural hair salon.
