Clarify Braid Extensions

Hi Girls!

I am in extension box braids. Can anyone give me good tips on how to clarify my hair while I am in braids? I'm just scared that the sythetic hair will "block" all the other build up from coming out if I try to clarify. Any ideas????

Hey mama.....
I would try Baking Soda. That is what I use to clarify.

1 tbls in 16 oz of water.....

I agree with Lucky's mom - Baking soda is the only thing i can think of. I rarely do this. I usually wait till my braids are out and wash with my Indian soap bar.

I know for me it worked out better that way. i wash my braids twice a week anyway so the hair is clean. When I take the braids out I do a full treatment - prepoo, wash, DC etc...
Ive tried to clarify while in braids and I didn't like the affect. I was afraid my hair still had shampoo in it,
