Creamy Leave-ins

I'm wondering if any of you can recommend a good, moisturizing creamy leave-in. It seems like the creamy ones are just more moisturizing than the liquid ones. I'm trying to develop a regimen for 2006. Please help!!!

Hi,
Ive just discovered NTM Silk Touch Leave In. Its creamy, smells good, and makes the hair extra soft and moisturized. I use it when my hair is wet and dry. HTH

Here are a few links about a creamy leave in that gets good raves and it is found at walmart. Also, many like Giovanni's Direct Leave-In.

ETA:Giovanni's Direct Leave-In. This is the one that I love. I know that there are other kinds out there, but this one I have the obsession with!

OK! This is where it's at! I am a pj, okay, but I have settled on this leave in and let me tell you why. As you can see in my photos, I am a natural. I "low poo". After I am done I rub like a dollop( the size of a quarter) over the outer part of my hair getting the ends really well, and then kinda moving to the inner part. Well after this stuff is on my hair, I DETANGLE WITH MY FINGERS!:D My hair is so tangly, nappy whatevery you want to call it after a wash, but this is like a miracle to me. Even when I do take the time to "section wash" my hair, I still have to go through and make sure it's throughly detangled, before rolling. I love it! I think I only pd like $8 for it at the health food store! It's just the bomb I tell you. My hair stays soft for days as well! I just can't say enough about it! I love it so much! A little goes a long way as well!

I am cosigning on the Neutrogena Triple Moisture for a leave in. I have used it on wet hair as well as dry hair, but since it only comes in a small sized bottle I have now since started to reserve it only for dry hair since I use it daily. My creamy leave in that I use is Rusk Smoother. That stuff is the truth because just using liquid leaves in alone leave my hair with a "dry" feeling, But I use Rusk Smoother and it feels very soft. I also use Mane n Tail Conditioner as well. Leaves hair soft too!

Blackbarbie,
Which Rusk do you use? Ive been hearing a lot about this product, and if it works just as good as the NTM I need to pick it up. Does it give just as much of slip as NTM?
By the way your hair is OFF THE HOOK CONGRATS....

How much do these run? And can you only find them in the BSS?

HI,
Well I paid about $6.29 for my NTM Silk Touch Leave In. I bought it at Duane Reade. Most drug stores; Rite Aid, CVS, Duane Reade, Target, etc, carry it.
I think you can pick it up just about anywhere.

I'm in love with ntm,I add some evoo to mine because my hair gets dry as hell sometimes :D .

Ntm leave-in cream gives me softness and great shine.I use it on wet hair and dry sets(really good for daily braid out sets)

Cantu shea butter leave in is good for extra softness but it doesnt shine like ntm leave in. :D

I've been using Giovanni Direct for a couple years now. It's the best! The retail price is usually $7-8. Most health food stores sell it. You also might look for it at your grocery store in the section where they have all the organic stuff. I buy it from myvitanet.com only if I know I'm going to be ordering other stuff from them, otherwise with shipping it comes out to be about the same as buying it in a store and paying tax ($8-9).

Besides Giovanni I have used and loved some Profectiv leave-ins. My favorites being BreakFree (purple tub) and RootHealth (green tub). The BreakFree is more protein-heavy than the RootHealth, which is more moisturizing. You can get Profectiv all over the place: Sally's always has the most complete selection, but you can usually get the leave-ins at walmart, etc.

I'm a big believer in Salerm 21! The smell reminds me of baby oil/powder, which i love! :D

Thanks so much!! The Rusk I use is called Rusk Smoother. Kept stalking sylver2's album when I came to the board and she uses it. Took me forever to find it cause when you look in the drug stores with all the other Rusk products, theywill always have everything except that, and the line is kind of pricey. Like $10 or $11 for just a 12 oz. bottle of shampoo, but after months of looking everywhere, I found a 32 oz bottle of the Rusk smoother on clearance at Ulta for only $9.99 (felt like I had hit the jackpot:grin:). I love that stuff. From following some of sylver2's instructions in her album, at first i was using the Rusk Smoother and the NTM combined, but after getting just as good results using the Rusk by itself when setting, I reserved my NTM for my daily moisturizer on my dry hair....

HTH!

Thank you guys so much for your suggestions. I went to the BSS tonight and ended up getting the Cantu Leave-in. I couldn't find the NTM, so I will have to look for it the next time I go to the drugstore. I also got some Africa's Best Organics Olive Oil Moisturizing Growth Lotion and Lustrasilk Placenta & Jojoba Oil Cholesterol. I'll be incorporating these products with the Motions products I have been using. I have the Motions Lavish Shampoo, Motions Neutralizing Shampoo, Motions Nourish Leave In, and Motions Silk Protein Conditioner. I plan to figure out a regimen and will begin tomorrow. Gotta get my hair looking right for Christmas. Hopefully I will be able to stick to it and see some progress. Right now my hair is just past shoulder length so I will be going for armpit length.

I was looking for one, thanks for the post..

I think Im gonna try the Cantu for 2 reasons..

#1 - I LOVE Shea Butter :D
#2 - You seem to get more for your money than with NTM, my hair is tooooooooooo thick and to use something that comes in such a small container would be a waste of money... IMPO...

:)

Silicon Mix Leave-In is my fave creamy leave-in right now. I've tried others & keep going back to it, everytime.
