Just gave myself a mini trim...getting tired of the back patch of hair growing faster than the rest:nono:
Will do a delightfully delicious DC, cowash etc - hoping for twice this weekend:yep:

Tonight Thursday, just did a scalp/hair detox & now I have henna on my hair with a 2 caps on top..Will do an over night Dc with MD..

*Report back later/Friday.

Happy Hair Growing!

Well I clarified, did an overnight condish and colored my roots earlier this week and I will be getting my mini flat twists done tomorrow. Will keep these until 3rd wk in Jan when I do my lunar trimming. I'm usually an annual trimmer, so trying this lunar thingy to see if I get overall improvement with my hair. Wish me luck.

decided i'd try a pre-shampoo type deal...so i sprayed protein, put on oil & then slathered on some conditioner (some ology moisturizing conditioner & loreal eversleek reparative smoothing conditioner)

eh...we'll see if it makes any kind of difference.

will use tresemme naturals shampoo on scalp tomorrow and then dc overnight, into saturday with shea moisture purification masque.

I started noticing small broken pieces of hair two days ago so I'll do a heavy protein treatment with Joico after I wash with WEN 613. After my steam DC I'll rollerset and flat iron my NG. I'm looking forward to pampering my hair tomorrow :-)!

Deep conditon on dry hair with Narobi conditioner mixed with honey for about 1 hour. Wash and condition with Organix awphui shampoo and conditioner. Flexirod set with the purple flexirods.

Sat: pre poo (2hrs, 20mins using heat ( with the last lil bit of silicon Mix bamboo mixed with some V05, walnut, olive and coconut oil, and glycerine. Wash with CON Argan oil poo, DC using CJ Curl Rehab for 2hrs 30mins using heat. Rinse add my leave ins Redken anti snap and As I Am. Seal with GSO and air dry. At 80%-90% dry I'll add my Elasta QP mango butter and seal that with Macadamia natural healing oil. Bun n done!

I think I will do an overnight prepoo-dc on dry hair and do a rollerset tomorrow. But it's been raining cat's and dog's here so I'm scared....LOL!

I plan to give myself a henn-digo treatment this Sunday after church.
  • FRI - mix my henna, allow it to sit and release
  • SAT - nothing (wig it)
  • SUN - wash with Terressentials Mud Wash in lavender / combine henna with indigo and apply - leave on overnight / wash out with conditioner (VO5) / DC with Decca (maybe steam for thirty mins) leave on whilst I travel / rinse and two strand twist (I may try the Entwine Couture products)

I may try my hand at a twist out with Bantu knots. I haven't done a deep conditioner since I don't know when. So, I may try one today especially since I've had my hair straight for about 2 weeks now.

My plans are to do a protein DC on my hair, blowdry, flatiron, and trim. My hair has been shedding like CRAZY! :ohwell: I don't know what's causing it.

wash day is tomorrow. i was suppose to go out tonight, but my dd still doesn't feel well and i am starting to come down with something too. i am just going to cowash and bun.

Thanks shortdub78! Now do I just get some regular black tea and make it and pour it over my head? And would it be ok to do this and the protein DC or just the rinse?

do you have a spray bottle? it will make it easier, or even a bottle with a nozzle. my concern is why are you doing the protein treatment? is it just regular reggie business or are you trying to combat something? the protein treatment won't stop the shedding. but if you need to combat breakage, you can do both. i would wash, protein treatment, shampoo again, tea rinse (leave for a minute or two, then rinse) dc as usual.

the reason for the second shampoo is to make sure the protein has been totally removed (residue) i don't want your hair to be hard and then you turn around and add that rinse.

I'm hoping the protein treatment will help with the shedding. I haven't really been doing protein treatments regularly until my last relaxer and I'm wondering if that's what I'm missing with my regimen. The last time I did a twist out I remember my twists feeling squishy, so I was thinking I was on moisture overload. :ohwell:

So...I really want to try and make my own phony-bun. I'm just going to use some synthetic braid hair since my hair is not bone straight. But I also wanted to try a perm rod set. What I might do is just wash my hair tonight (regular daily washing routine). Then tomorrow...I have some stuff to do, but later that day will try the phony-bun and I should have someone to tell me if it blends in well or not. Then later that night I'll do the perm rod set so it can airdry overnight. Then if I don't like the set, I can always wash it out and try and hurry and dry it before church (I've been going to 12n service)

ETA: I'm kinda excited; I've got alot of stuff to try and I see them working too! If that phony-bun works like I want it to, then I can do a gang of updos with it.

Henna'd overnight
washed and conditioned with joico moisture recovery
forgot to DC because my hair was feeling so soft :perplexed::nono:
used vitale setting lotion and cantu shea butter leave in (1st time trying this)
Now doing a ponytail rollerset which I sat under the dryer for about 30 mins and will let air dry overnight.

Water hasn't seen my scalp in two weeks now (I know I posted a wash regi. last week....it didn't happen lol). So, this wash is going to be a pampering one.

My Game Plan:

Prepoo with Hair Trigger on my scalp and Wheat Germ on my length and ends.

Clarify using my trustee Elucence Moisture Acidifying Shampoo and then follow with Elasta QP Creme Conditioning Shampoo

Then I will do a protein treatment using Mizani Kerafuse mixed (trying to use this up) with a bit of a moisturizing conditioner to dilute it a bit (That stuff is strong :yep:).

I will then do a TEA RINSE! (Can you feel my excitement....I tried one many moons ago and I didn't see a difference, but I was inspired by the 2012 coffee/tea rinse challenge thread...so we gon' see :spinning:)

I will allow the tea rinse to sit for about 30 minutes w/o heat. Then directly on top of that I will apply my moisturizing DC, Silk Dreams Vanilla Silk. I will steam with this layer combo for about 30 mins. under my steamer.

Rinse, Apply Leave In's , Air Dry using the banding method and bun like its my job next week :).

Friday, washed overnight MD dc out,Rinsed with Darcy's pumpkin,CHC ultimate treat leave-in,Pura's- lotion, kyras curl,Seal with BASK Java bean..Jar Of Joe on scalp..

*Between the henna & MD Coconut Vanilla Dc,my hair feels like velvet..

Happy Hair Growing!

I washed with Roux Porosity Control Shampoo. I used the Porosity Control Conditioner. Then I used the Joico Reconstruct, and the Intense Hydrator. On damp hair (in four sections) I sprayed with CHI Keratin Mist and used Calista Style Achieve 10 with Argan. I mixed it with Jose Maran Argan oil, and put a bit more oil on the ends. My hair is in somewhat of a bun. I plan to blowdry my hair either tonight or tomorrow.

I love this stuff. I got a bottle in the QVC Beauty Tube. I have had it for the longest time. But never paid much attention to it. But since I am trying to use up product, I gave it a try. This is my second time using it, and I will be ordering more when QVC gets it back in stock. It is a gel type product, which is great for my fine strands. And you do not need a lot. It has a very light smell. And I don't feel any residue when I touch my hair. Nor is any on my hands. I can attest to some of its claims. And maybe all once I blow dry. Here is some information copied from the website:

What is it?

Calista Tools Achieve 10 is a hair nourishing styling cream. Your hair will be a perfect 10 everyday. Achieve 10 gives:

1. Smooth and silky hair
2. Frizz control
3. Added Shine
4. Extra body and fullness
5. Detangle hair
6. Protection for hair color
7. Prevent split ends/hair breakage
8. Guard from heat styling
9. Restore dry, damaged hair
10. Humidity blocker

Who is it for?

Achieve 10, made with organic Argan oil, is a styling product made for all hair types - frizzy curly hair, straight fine hair, damaged dry hair - that need healthy hair with volume and shine. Did you know that as you age, the texture of your hair changes and so does its ability to shine? Achieve 10 will make hair shiny, healthy, and youthful again.

Why is it different?

Achieve 10 is the one product that delivers what, in the past, took ten separate products. It protects and repairs your hair making it easier to style. Using nature’s most potent source of Vitamin E, Argan oil will not weigh down the hair. Achieve 10 deeply infuses the hair with volumizers that thicken the hair, creating more body and fullness. Achieve 10 is proactive hair care, protecting the hair that is healthy while repairing the hair that is damaged. Your hair will be restored back to health with youthful, smooth shine.

How do you use it?
Your hair’s texture, volume, and length determine the amount needed for application, but a nickel sized amount is generally recommended (less is needed for straight, fine, or oily hair types). Achieve 10 can be used on both damp and dry hair. Just rub the appropriate amount into the palms of your hands and apply directly to your hair. Repeat if you prefer more conditioning. Achieve 10 also works as a great product to detangle wet hair.

I made this post on 12/2 in the Aint Nobody Got Time For That thread.
About to begin detangling session that I really ain't got time for.

Pray for me.
I just finished the detangling I started then. Traaagic. I'd start a section, say *** it and tie it up under a scarf where it would stay for days. It was an excuse to practice my head wrapping skills.

Last night I said to myself, "You need to either get it together or cut it off." So after starting and stopping several times, I finally finished.

Tomorrow I'll deep condition and wash. Sunday, I'll flat iron.

Can't have busted hair for Christmas.
