Does anyone actually enjoy taking care of their hair?

Or are you just going through the motions to see results?

Sometimes I enjoy washing, conditioning, protective styling, etc. Other times I just don't want to be bothered.

If your hair didn't get any longer than it is right now, would you still enjoy caring for it?
Is it the journey and goals that make this worth it for you?

Sometimes I enjoy it and sometimes I don't b/c I get lazy and don't fell like washing it, or conditioning it w/ heat, or oiling it,etc. At other times I get frustrated b/c it doesn't seem like it's growing fast enough. On the other note, I love pruchasing new hair care products and trying new things for and on my hair and I love to see how much growth I got after my 3 month+ stretch is up-that's the good part.

I used to very much, but now that I've taken care of it for so long I actually dread it now, especially when I have to straighten.
Ironically, when I don't fuss with it too much, is usually when I notice progress.

I enjoy conditioning my hair cuz I  how it feels with conditioner on it.
other than that, I'm just going through the motions, trying to gain some length.

ITA..I also enjoy the tingling poos (Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Special Shampoo). :yep:

I enjoy it. I don't limit my results orientation to length. I love receiving compliements on a style that I've done or on how shiny my hair looks. In the past I just went through the motions but I've learned to relax, have fun with it and not do anything I don't feel like doing.

I do. When I get stressed, the first thing I want to do is wash my hair. I enjoy pampering myself and giving myself weekly 45min - hour long deep treatments. I think of it as my special time. I love it.

I'm with LuvSlave. I thoroughly enjoy the process of taking care of my hair. I look forward to wash days, and the feeling I get in the pit of my stomach when I'm about to purchase products is indescribable. I love my hair, and I wouldn't be mad if it didn't grow another inch, cuz it's mine, and we ride for each other.

When I start gettin lazy, I think about it fallin out, and I suddenly find myself motivated. I get tons of compliments on it when it's out, so I don't do it as a chore, it's a privilege. :)

I love to take care of my hair. I have to stop myself sometimes cause I like to conditioner wash so much. :)

I love taking care of my hair, especially my daily cowashes. It is soothing to me....really makes me feel good.

Besides washing & conditioning, I hate taking care of my hair now because once it's dry, i have to watch every move I make with it, be extra careful, etc. It gets more frustrating when my dry hair can't get moisturized no matter what moisturizer I put in it and to still see little broken pieces (few) here and there after using the "best" conditioners. Taking care of my hair has made me more anal about the condition of my hair and things that never bothered me b4 now irritate the crap outta me. I can't fully enjoy life like I use to. I'm constantly trying to take better care of my hair not to grow my hair longer, but to retain what I do have and make it healthier. I've become like a hair perfectionist.

However, I do love the results of taking care of my hair because it all proves to be worth it when I get compliments from family to ppl on the street.

i hate the fact that i have to do all this crap. but hey, i want long hair so what can i do. it does make me wonder when i see some of my male friends who have mid back or waist length hair. they wash/condition/brush and thats it. they eat crap, dont use vitamins, dont protect their ends, the list goes on.... and here i am with one hand on the Aphogee, the other hand on some oil moisturiser and trying to pick up the Surge with my teeth.

Mine takes a lot of effort too and it'll get worse as my hair gets past the longest it's ever gotten.
It's just not fair! :(

Eh..I'm feeling rather lazy this summer. I don't feel like sitting under dryers, waiting around with a plastic bag on my head, or even moistutizing my hair every night. I'm sure I'll enjoy it more in the winter. :)

I just look at it as a necessary evil, like working out. The process is long and boring, but the results are so worth it! :)

I hate doing my hair. Its too much work caring for a lot of hair everyday so that's why I keep it braided up all the time. Not only am I getting faster growth from this method, but it enables me to keep my hands out of my hair and forget about it.

I enjoy it, most of the time. It looks so much better than it used to and it much healthier too. :D

I actually don't mind taking care of my hair. I guess this is because I only really do it once a week and the rest of the time I wear twists. I also like to see the progress I make by taking care of it weekly.

I enjoy it, but I would enjoy even more if I stopped focusing on how much new growth I have or don't have. The whole new growth thing is driving me nuts :(
