does hair grow fastest...

Does your hair grow faster relaxed or natural? I guess what I'm really asking is how long people wait between relaxers if they're trying to grow out long, healthy hair. I'm a college student so I don't have the pressure of getting my hair "done" everyday (ie black clip, gel the sides, and out the door). Any suggestions?

I think hair will grow the same, relaxed or natural. Whether or not it stays on the head is another story - both ways take good haircare. Relaxed hair probably needs even more loving attention to make sure it stays moisturized. I wait as long as I can between relaxers. I don't let my hair go through any unecessary shedding before relaxing and I baby my new growth.

If you are not worried about getting your hair "done" everyday, you can probably go for a long time without relaxing, just make sure you have a good haircare regime. You can get good tips from some of the ladies here (like Hairlove) who are transitioning.
