I am natural and have always had my hair blown out by Dominicans. If I were you I would do the whole twist/braid and no heat thing and save the DR blow outs for special occasions. I have a pic below in my pikistrips that shows my natural hair vs. DR blowout. I get my hair blown 1-2 times a month if I am going somewhere.

I don't think its a way to go natural because too much (whether by you or any stylist) isn't good. I say leave the DR blowouts for special occasions and twist, braid etc your natural locks.

I'd say NO because that's how I started to transition. I did not want to cut my hair off. SO I figured I'd get the dominican blowouts. I did it for 3 months to keep my new growths in control.. girl my hair was thinning and shedding like never before!!!!
