I have just stopped wearing my hair in micros and I must admit I don't have much of a routine yet. I wash with Pantene moisterizing shampoo and condition with ORS hair mayo and use infusion leave in conditioner. I long for the day when I have a routine that works for me but right now I'm trying to figure out what works best for my hair through trial and error so any advice will be great. I have some S curl but I have not used it yet.

many ladies frown upon the pantene shampoos. Maybe you need to find a much more moisturizing shampoo, even if u have to use Creme of Nature, which I don't like now, because it's TOO moisturizing, but it helps when you start your journey with that, because it helps the hair, IMO. Or if you wanna get straight to the goods, you can try Nexxus Therappe shampoo and Humectress conditioner.
I don't think you should use Infusium too often. I used to love it! but with all the protein, I tried to cut back. I used it again the other day because my hair was so tangled, and yes, it did detangle my hair, but the next morning it was SO DRY! I think you need a more moisturizing leave-in. Do searches on the board for: moisturizing shampoo, moisturizing/detangling conditioners, detangling, moisturizing leave-ins, etc.
have you heard of Elasta QP mango butter? you can use it on the hair and also on the ends. Many women here use it, like Sistaslick, and Babygurl, and look at their ends! I use it from time to time too. You could also you some types of natural oil, like olive oil, or almond, or avocado, etc.
I do not like the S-Curl... it left my hair dry, but it works for some people, so you'll just have to see about that.

I have very dry hair too.
Daily conditioner washing for a week helps me through this. I'll put my hair back into a pony and bump the bang under. At night, I'll oil the ends with olive, coconut, or carrot oil. Then by the weekend, I can blow dry with minimal damage.
My fav conditioner is Lehair.

I agree with the daily co-washing for dry hair...but it's winter and if you live in a very cold enviornment...that wouldn't be a good thing...Wet hair + Cold weather = 
so why don't you try to find products that contain glycerine in them...I personally, love wave nouveau moisturizing lotion...it's not wet at all and it keeps my hair moisturized all day. S-curls is another option but my hair hates it...or you can try care free curl moisturizers and many more...all these products can give you the moisture your hair needs without it being extremely wet.HTHs

I have dry hair too.
Conditioner washes have helped greatly- i add liquid aloe vera and/or glycerin for an extra boost.
I deep condition weekly with the dominican cocktail or queen helene's super cholesterol treatment or lamaur's bone marrow.(under heat for 45-60 mins)
I use Saloncare shampoos and conditioners (sally's beauty supply) these are great. i also use liquid castille soap and a shampoo concentrate that i purchased at www.thechemistrystore.com (these products are all natural and they have a vitamin fortified hair conditioner that is great too) i'm a pj so there are a few other shampoos in my arsenal as well but these are the primary ones.
I also use anky's dominican cocktail which consists of miss keys 10 en 1, rivas silicon mix and emergencia at least 2 times a week.
I use castor oil or jamaica black castor oil as a weekly pre-shampoo/ends treatment.
i use eo like coconut oil, evening primrose oil, sweet almond oil, wheatgerm oil, apricot kernel oil, grapseed oil and palm oil. I add rosemary oil to stimulate growth and baggie up at nite.
I use a glycerin/water/liquid aloe vera/eo spritz daily for moisture.

It is winter in the north east and i wash my hair every day and i am not sick. I know everyone is different but germs make you sick not a wet head.

U should use a leave-in conditioner. Depending on the condition of your hair, u may need a rinse. A rinse will protect ur hair cuticle.
OK laides I love the Nexxus therappe and humectress ( Their keepers). I like the smell of the mango butter and the way it made my hair really wavy but it made my hair harder than I wanted it to be. I dont know if I used it wrong or what. I think it would have been softer if I used it along with some other product. I will not be able to do conditioner washes in the morning and go to work because I am very easy to get a cold plus my coworkers has the A/C on non stop no matter how cold it is outside but maybe I'll try it when it warms up. I think I will try the wave nouveau next. I know one thing I've become a serious PJ this year. Is there a support group on this forum for people like me?
