Dusting split ends

Is it crazy to just do it strand by strand? Because if I did like doing a section, I'd be cutting off at least an inch! And of course the strands aren't all the same length. Help!

If I have the time I do it strand by strand too if they are really bad or there's alot I'll do it in sections

Nope, not crazy at all. Doing it strand by strand is also known as Search & Destroy, or S&D - it's a great way to keep splits in check without actually 'trimming' your hair.

That's what I do, that's not crazy at all. Why trim healthy ends? It's best to trim only the splits.
