I made up a progress pic, and I'm getting length... (thanks LHCF) but my ends look scraggly.....

I want to trim them but am scared, but I also don't want anyone else to do it either...You know how ppl get scissor happy

Also, I have been paying special attention to them with moisture...I've been dabbing my Cantu Grow Strong, and some Carrot Oil Last night...

any help.....

I know what you mean about letting other people trim your hair. Why does it seem that stylists always trim off so much! I get my mom to trim mine (had to teach her how, lol) and she never takes off more than I want. I trim it myself sometimes also but just small dustings because I know I can't get it completely even. I also do "seek and destroy's" whenever I think about it. I search through every section of hair and trim off the splits.

I would suggest you trim if your hair is damaged though. It really helped my hair a lot. The only time I started seeing more length is when I trimmed regularly. I put a little castor oil over my moisturizer on mine sometimes for a little extra tlc.

Thanks for ur reply....Cuz they are looking so scraggly...I was all excited about my length and then I was sooo embarassed about those ends...

Do I need hair scissors or can I trim with any old scissors...

Hi, I'm experiencing the same delima. I have decided not to do a real trim until I reach my desired length (securely at bra strap ). For now, I just dust. The overall look is OK bc wear it in curly styles, so its hard to see my ends are uneven... hey as long as what I have remains healthy and looks pretty, I'm satisfied!

Definitely hair cutting scissors that you only use for when you trim your hair and nothing else. Regular scissors could cause more splits or tears in the hair.
