So, I ordered Felicia Leatherwood's $10 brush to compare to the Partrade brush I got for $1.55. The $10 brush is slightly better made (smoother angles/edges/bristles, a tad more flexibility between the rows), but yep, it's basically the same brush. The black one is the $10 brush, pink is $1.55 brush. (I paid $15 total for one Ms. Leatherwood's brushes, and I paid $8 total for TWO of Partrade's brushes)

Please excuse the product in the brush, LOL

Any updates from those who use Felicia's brush?

I looking into buying it as I can't get the cheaper brush.

I actually like the leatherwood brush very much. I use it to detangle my hair, and it works quite well. I would say it's worth purchasing. My daughter and husband use the partrade brushes and have no problems with them.

Bumping this - Anyone have any insights on the leatherwood brush vs the generic? Looking to pick one up.

I was thinking about trying this brush but it's $16 with $7.50 shipping? I dunno. It better be amazing if I decide to get it.
@Smiley79
You should wait for a Sale or get the cheaper one.

When I first posted upthread I was grabbing the FL more now it seems to be reversed and I go straight for the cheaper version.

However, both are nice. The FL was on Sale when I bought it, for like $9 bucks or something like that.

I have the tangle wrangler but something about the FL is appealing to me to want to try and compare. But you right, I will wait for a sale. And that shipping is too high IMO.

They had a "better deal" I think, when we all jumped on them.:look:

The FL handle is wider and makes gripping it easier, but I also like the cheaper one (tack brush) for getting down into the smaller details.

@Smiley79, I have the Tangler Wrangler also and like it a lot because it offers flexibility when detangling. However, I've broken some of the bristles. For the price though, I can easily replace it. The Denman clumps my curls better. Therefore, I use both depending on what I'm going for. I want to try the FL though.

Yes I too have the TG. The denman brush wasnt great on my hair, so when I found the TG, I was happy with the performance. Now I would like to try the FL.
