I had been wondering what everyone was using this gel for and realized it finally today. My twin god daughters dedication service was today in Manhattan. We were to be there by 9:15 a.m. but were running late. To save time I wore a ponytail for the first time in about 6 months. I had no idea that 16 week post hair would look like a poufy mess when pulled into a ponytail.:ohwell:

I slathered on some Johnsons & Johnsons baby oil gel with aloe vera (forgot what I even bought that ages ago) and put on a scarf for the ride over to the church. My ponytail looked so much better....but the aloe vera gel's first ingredient is MINERAL OIL so of course I will be washing my hair now that we are back home.

I do have to say that my hair is uber soft though, despite the mineral oil.

Off to go try my VO5:grin:

I was thinking of posting a question about this. I was wanting to know what it was used for too.

Yeah I love aloe vera gel as a gel, I usually mix mines up with a little EVOO because if I don't it dries my hair out and makes it too stiff.

I use aloe vera (the raw one) on my hair and my face. It gets rid of the white head and periodic bumps. I also drink 2-4 ounces per day. It's a great and versatile product.
