For all 4a\'s and 4b\'s who are fighting their hair

I've been fighting my hair for a while now. A few months ago, I decided to hack inches all of my hair. This past week, I think I finally found how to keep the moisture in my hair. My mom gave me a 100% pure silk shirt, and I cut the sleeves open(if this makes sense) and made a head scarf with it. You can buy a 100% pure silk shirt at you local salvation army, that is cheap just get it dried clean. I work out, like 5 times a week so I wash my hair on saturdays(a full wash)using
creame of nature(green and white bottle), patene smooth and sleek, and then I use Elasta QP Intense with a plastic bag for about two hours and rinse out. I use s-curl, honey and mayo by bonner's brother, and then I use my hand blower dryer by goldn'hot (it has a one row comb with it). My hair feels silky. On wednesday, my heavy sweat days, I conditioner wash my hair with the pantene smooth and silky, and use my hand dryer again. Then just use s-curl and any other moisturizer I have. I use Elasta QP H-two before I blow dry. I think the silk shirt has really made a difference. I put a satin bonnet over it at night to make sure it stays on. Forgot to mention that I mist my hair with distilled water on other day, and use my hair dryer for a little bit, and let it kinda air dry with moisturizer in it.

I hope my tips work, because it was working for me. My hair doesn't shed like it used it, and it's cold here in Indiana.

ARE YOU TRANSITIONING? YOUR REGIMENT SOUNDS GOOD EXCEPT FOR THE BLOW DRYING.

No, i'm not transitioning, I just sweat a lot, and I needed a new way to take care of my hair. The blow drying isn't too much. Sometimes I do sit under the dryer, just depends on how much time I have. I also forgot to mention that I have been eating right, drinking lots of water. I'm trying to stretch my relaxers to about 6 weeks, I do it at 4 weeks, but i'm thinking that was because my hair wasn't retaining too much moisture and my new growth was out of control. I have a hair appointment saturday, I will see what my beautician says.

I'm a 4a/b and my hair has been flourishing since I eliminated heat from my regime, mainly blowdrying. It stays moisturized from wash to wash. No more fighting my hair!
Also, I try to stretch out my relaxers as much as possible. For me that means 9 - 10 weeks before any shedding starts. That is making a great difference in my hair!

I also find that if you use that blowdryer, it straightens your hair and you don't have to use a flat iron or curling iron, unless you want curls. It gets my hair pretty straight. It feels really silky.
